Andrea Bocelli Unveils His Brand New Album "Believe" A SELECTION OF POIGNANT & PERSONAL SONGS FOR THE SOULFEATURING STUNNING DUETS WITH GRAMMYWINNING SINGERS ALISON KRAUSS ON 'AMAZING GRACE' AND CECILIA BARTOLIPLUS A NEVER-BEFORE-HEARD TRACK FROM ENNIO MORRICONE

World-renowned Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli is set to release his breathtaking new album, Believe, via Sugar/Decca Records on November 13, celebrating the power of music to soothe the soul. He is joined on the record by Alison Krauss, the most awarded singer in Grammy history, for a powerful and emotional rendition of 'Amazing Grace'.It follows Bocelli's record-breaking 'Music for Hope' performance at Easter from the historic Duomo cathedral in Milan which was watched live by millions around the globe. The new album also features two duets with leading opera singer Cecilia Bartoli, a previously unreleased track from the late, great Italian composer Ennio Morricone, as well as 'Gratia Plena' – the closing song from the critically acclaimed new movie, Fatima. The themes explored in this new recording are deeply personal to Bocelli, who says, "The concept behind 'Believe' is based on three words: faith, hope and charity. These are the three theological virtues of Christianity, yet – quite independently of any religious belief – they are also the three extraordinary keys to giving meaning and completeness to the lives of every one of us."Adding her distinctive vocals to 'Amazing Grace' is 27-time Grammy Award winner Alison

Leggendario Maestro - Sig. Andrea Bocelli

Krauss, one of the most important artists in the American country-bluegrass tradition. Describing her collaboration with Bocelli, Krauss commented: "What an amazing experience! Fantastically terrifying!"Bocelli's solo rendition of 'Amazing Grace' beautifully concluded his 'Music for Hope' performance earlier this year. As one of the biggest musical live stream performances of all-time and with over 2.8 million peak concurrent viewers, it achieved the largest simultaneous audience for a classical live stream in YouTube history. The video received more than 28 million views from across the globe in its first 24 hours.Believe, co-produced by Steven Mercurio and Haydn Bendall, is a collection of uplifting songs that have inspired and sustained Bocelli over the years. In addition to the duets with Krauss and Bartoli – two singers whose distinctive voices are celebrated around the world – there is a new composition from Ennio Morricone, a long-time collaborator of Bocelli's, titled 'Inno sussurato' ('Whispered Hymn'). There are also familiar favourites on the album, such as 'Hallelujah' and 'You'll Never Walk Alone'.Bocelli has composed his own settings of 'Ave Maria' and 'Padre Nostro' specially for this record. He says, "I don't consider myself to be a composer, however, I am a musician, and sometimes melodies come to my mind, with essentially complete harmonies... Music that knocks on the door of my soul and which I gladly welcome and then set free by putting pen to paper". There are also melodies like 'Mira il tuo popolo' which take him back to when he was a boy, growing up in Tuscany. "They represent the soundtrack to my childhood memories," he says. One of the hidden gems on Believe is 'Fratello sole sorella luna (Dolce è Sentire)' – a song featured in the Franco Zeffirelli film Brother Sun, Sister Moon – with music composed by Riz Ortolani. Another delight is 'Angele Dei' – a newly-discovered piece by Puccini, arranged by Michael Kaye, which Bocelli premiered in 2019. It was originally written without lyrics, so Bocelli asked for words of a prayer (addressed to a guardian angel) to be added.Musically gifted from birth, Andrea Bocelli is one of the most celebrated singers in modern history, performing at major international events including the Olympic Games and the World Cup, as well as his own sell-out arena shows around the world. He has a Golden Globe, seven Classical BRITs and seven World Music Awards under his belt, plus a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His previous album, Si, reached No.1 on both the US and UK charts. With a decorated career spanning more than a quarter of a century, having amassed millions of fans around the world with his emotive and instantly recognisable voice, Bocelli has collaborated with a host of A-list stars including Luciano Pavarotti, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez, Christina Aguilera, Ed Sheeran, Dua Lipa, Céline Dion, Tony Bennett and many more.Ultimately, Bocelli understands that all music is good for the soul in a way that taps into the most subtle nuances of humanity, irrespective of individual belief: "Good music brings with it a powerful message of peace and fellowship, teaching us about beauty, and helping us to open our hearts and minds."

New Ghibli Hybrid: the first electrified vehicle in Maserati's history

The first hybrid vehicle in Maserati's historyDeveloped by the Maserati Innovation Lab of ModenaThe vehicle will be produced at the Avvocato Giovanni Agnelli Plant (AGAP) at Grugliasco (Turin)Modena, 16 July 2020 – The spark of electrification ignites Maserati's future: with the new Ghibli Hybrid, the Trident Brand enters the world of electrification. The new Ghibli Hybrid represents one of the most ambitious projects for Maserati, which after the announcement of the new engine for the MC20 super sports car now sets the seal on another step forward towards the brand's new Era.The choice to introduce the hybrid technology on the Ghibli sedan is no coincidence: this model, with over 100,000 units produced since its launch in 2013, perfectly embodies the Modena-based manufacturer’s DNA.In fact, the challenge facing Maserati was to enter the world of electrification without altering the brand's core philosophy and values. The result? The creation of the best possible hybrid. What's more, Ghibli Hybrid will retain the unmistakable sound that has always distinguished every Maserati. The arrival of the new Ghibli Hybrid thus expands the Maserati range, which is now even more competitive and responsive to the demands of the market. Ghibli Hybrid is immediately recognisable, thanks in part to the new design of both exterior and interior. The common denominator of the restyling, developed by the Centro Stile Maserati, is the blue colour, chosen to identify all cars with hybrid technology and the new world they represent. On the exterior, the blue colour characterises the three iconic side air ducts, the brake calipers and the thunderbolt in the oval that encloses the Trident on the rear pillar. The same blue colour reappears inside the car, in particular on the embroidered seams of the seats. The new Ghibli Hybrid also introduces new stylistic contents, starting from the new front grille, with bars redesigned to represent a tuning fork, a musical device that emits a sound of extreme purity, and which also evokes the Trident symbol itself. There are significant changes at the rear of the car, where the light clusters have been completely restyled, with a boomerang-like profile inspired by the 3200 GT and the Alfieri concept car.

Mondo Italiano Exclusive Interview - Lino Pujia THE DUEL OF WINE Per leggere in italiano, visitare - https://italianmagazine.net/interviste

Q.) Can you share a little about your background and how you got started in the film production industry?

Being the son of a renowned sculptor Antonio Pujia, my contact with art was constant from my birth. I have studied cinema, theater, photography and opera where my training was fundamental since I worked for 10 years as a stage director assistant working with Liliana Cavani, Placido Domingo, Ruggiero Raimondi Harold Prince and the Oscar winners Dante Ferreti, Franca Squerciapino and Eugenio Zanetti and so many others.Studied cinema and work as a film assistant in different films with Stefania Sandrelli, Chiara Caselli or the great producer Amedeo Pagani, all that gives me the chance to produce and direct different TV programs about cinema, some of them supported by Kodak.

Q.) Do you have a favorite wine?

Surely Barolo and Brunello de Montalcino are the great protagonists of Italian wine today due to its complexity and intensity, but naturally also due to its history. Anyway, the list is long and we cannot stop talking about the Amarone, Chianti Classico, Prosecco, Sagrantino, Taurasi, Cannonau, talk about the pleausure of the Italian wine and food… something like the catalog Leporello’s aria from the of the Don Giovanni Opera, the Mozart masterpiece.

Q.) Favorite actor of all time?

Impossible choose one, there are a lot…from Charles Chaplin, Laurence Olivier, Anthony Quinn, Max Von Sydow, Peter Sellers, Toshiro Mifune…but Chaplin was the first great master, his human legacy is immense.

Q.) Tell our readers a little about the upcoming movie you are producing?

Our film "The duel of wine" starring Charlie Arturaola has toured much of the United States and contact with its representatives, from diplomats, chamber of commerce managers, distributors, journalists and the public…they have given us the opportunity to get to know the Italian community in the USA, from that perspective the publication and its dissemination reaches our hands, and because, why not? I follow Jay Shapiro closely on internet, it is a reference of the Italians in Florida.

Q.) How did you meet Charlie?

I met Charlie at the San Sebastian film festival, he was presenting "The ways of wine" and I had been chosen to present a project. We met and quickly understood that we should make a global film "made in Italy", why?Because is important show the the people the Italian life style with their people, wine, food, palazzos….and Charlie was the perfect star.We got to work and filmed in Italy, in spaces like "Salone del 500" in Firenze, the "Hotel Danieli" in Venezia, Montefalco in Umbria, the Soave Castel, Sardegna and of course in Barolo. Alaways was important to insert Italian wine in scenes in USA, so we shooted at the Tribeca grill from Robert De Niro in NYC and in florida itself, in Miami where Charlie drives a taxi on ocean drive, then France… le grand theatre Chatellet in Paris... well, a trip inside another trip. Charlie is an exceptional person and personality, he has a great interior light capable of radiating and attracting people's attention, his charisma and sympathy have no limits, although he is a great name inside the community of wine, for me, personally it means much more than that, even when he defines himself as a soldier of wine for me he is a guru of positivity.

Q.) Anything additional you'd like to share with respect to the value of this film to its viewers?

Our new project talks about the importance of respecting and preserving the environment ... we are talking about a wine film, so it is told through a fun spy comedy. In the plot Charlie invents new legislation, but not all power groups agree, Charlie himself must become a spy to discover who is plotting them. I am working with John Osborne and Chris Sawyer, the great sommelier in California where we meet the owners of wineries as Hess, Roederer, Williamson, Farniente…..in Italy with Alessandro Rossi from Partesa and Davide Gangi from VinoWay seeing locations in Emilia-Romagna, Veneto, Campania, Puglia ... wineries such as Sandro Bottega, Feudi di San Gregorio or the Brunello di Montalcino consortium itself have participated with us in the Venice Film festival where we have presented the project, a nice event with dinner dedicated to the President of the European Parliament.

Q.) When will the movie be released and how can people watch it?

The film should have started shooting in September 2020 but the pandemic does not allow us to know until when we must postpone it. Today platforms like Netflix allow an audience of millions of people on the planet, our film could be seen by millions even when for us is very important the contact with people in film and wine festivals. ”the duel of wine” was presented in more than 70 cities in the world, more than 20 film fests and countries… I remember the words from Marco Caprai during the premiere dinner at lido “we made the first Italian Wine film from the story”, not bad a wine film comedy!

Ferrari - From Pininfarina to Flavio Manzoni

November 2020 Car of the Month

Lamborghini Silhouette

Year of manufacture: 1976 – 1979 Engine: V 8 – 3-litre displacement Power: 250 HP Max. speed: 260 km/h Number of pieces: 55

With the Targa roof, the Silhouette - which is the evolution of the Urraco – proposed an alternative open version with the intention of winning over the difficult United States market. The engine, now perfected, which had four overhead camshafts in the 3-litre version, allowed a maximum speed of 260 km/h. And despite this, after two prototypes, only 53 Silhouettes were produced, the last one being used and tested as the Jalpa prototype.

From 1987 to 1995 he was in charge of Engine and Transmission at Bugatti, where he was responsible for the powertrain of the EB110. Maurizio Reggiani joined Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A. in 1998 as Project Leader for the Murciélago until 2001, when he became Responsible of the R&D Powertrain and Suspension Division.

10 COMMANDMENTS OF ITALIAN CUISINE 1 - YOU SHALL NOT SIP CAPPUCCINO DURING A MEAL! Coffee and cappuccino are the pride of Italy in the world; but if the first is usually consumed at the end of the meal, the second, more substantial, is sipped at breakfast, usually accompanied by some pastry. You can ask for a cappuccino at the end of a meal, just know that most Italians don’t.

2 - RISOTTO AND PASTA ARE NOT A SIDE DISH The organization of courses in the Italian dining is unique and requires pasta and – most of the time – risotto to be served by themselves (apart from specific recipes such as Ossobuco milanese-style). The presentation of pasta as a side dish to others is widespread in several countries, but in Italy is seen almost as a sacrilege.

3 - YOU SHALL NOT ADD OIL TO PASTA WATER! Oil should not be added to pasta cooking water! Pasta dressing (and oil too) must be added only after you have drained it from its cooking water. Find out how to cook pasta like an Italian here.

4 - KETCHUP ON PASTA: PLEASE, DON’T This is one of the combinations that most shocks Italians; although ketchup may have some similarities to tomato sauce, pouring ketchup over pasta in the “Bel Paese” is considered a real gourmet crime. Keep ketchup for your french fries or hot dogs, please!

5 - SPAGHETTI BOLOGNESE? NO WAY, IT’S TAGLIATELLE! While probably being the world’s most popular Italian recipe, you will not find any restaurant in Bologna to eat it. That’s because the original Italian recipe is “Tagliatelle Bolognese” (not spaghetti). Although this may seem a minor detail, in real Italian cuisine the pairing of the right kind of pasta with the right sauce is considered almost sacred.

6 - CHICKEN PASTA: NOT IN ITALY Speaking with American friends, one of the most frequent requests is the advice for a typical Italian recipe for pasta with chicken. It’s always rather embarrassing to point out that in Italy there are no hot dishes featuring pasta and chicken.

7 - “CAESAR SALAD” This salad, which bears the name of its supposed creator, Caesar Cardini, is a part of the long list of recipes devised by chefs of Italian origin, but in fact is almost unknown in Italy.

8 - THE RED AND WHITE CHECKERED TABLECLOTH IS ONLY A STEREOTYPE! For some strange reason, these tablecloths are universally associated with our food and with the stereotype of the "spaghetti-eater", and abroad almost all the restaurants that want to play typical Italian use them. Probably, tourists who come to visit Italy remain somewhat disappointed when they discover that the checkered tablecloths are almost never used (only restaurants for tourists do!)

9 - “FETTUCCINE ALFREDO” ARE POPULAR ONLY OVERSEAS This is perhaps the most curious in this top ten. The fettuccine Alfredo is both the most famous “Italian” food in the United States and the least known dish in Italy. These noodles, seasoned with butter and Parmigiano Reggiano, are in fact actually been invented in the “Bel Paese”, specifically by Alfredo Di Lelio, the owner of a restaurant in Rome, but in Italy have never been imposed as a traditional dish. Overseas, however, have become increasingly popular and in time became a symbol of the good life in Rome. For this reason legions of American tourists coming to Italy hoping to enjoy the fettuccine Alfredo at every restaurant on the peninsula remain very disappointed.

10 - YOU SHALL RESPECT TRADITION AND WHAT ITALIAN MAMMA SAYS. She knows from her mamma, who knew from her mamma who knew from her mamma and so on. It's been tried and tested. And what a mother teaches at her daughter while they are cooking? That love is the center of all. We must share Italian food with your loved ones. It is what life, love and family are all about.

Where can I play Bocce Ball in South Florida? Palm Beach County Bocce Courts

Jupiter: George Carlin Park

Royal Palm Beach: Crestwood, Camellia & Veterans Parks.

Wellington: Aquatics Complex

Boynton Beach: Meadows Park, Boynton Lakes & Jaycee Park

Regulation size of bocce ball courts is 13' by 91' but with space so limited in South Florida

Lake Worth: Bryant & John Prince Memorial Parks

we do find many courts with much smaller dimensions. Backyard bocce ball courts are almost always smaller perhaps 6' by 64' feet

Delray Beach: Gov Lawton Chiles Park

and of course courts inside restaurants such as Louie Bossi Ristorante are much smaller and

Boca Raton: Louie Bossi's Italian Ristorante

meant mostly as a novelty and to enjoy a friendly game with family and friends just after that after dinner shot of sambuca. Those on

Broward County Bocce Courts

the larger courts tend to drink red wine but that is not always the case as there are some bocce

Fort Lauderdale: Louie Bossi's Italian Ristorante

ball players who do not drink at all. If you're looking for a really nice court in South Florida

Hallandale Beach: Golden Isles Tennis & Bocce Ball Courts

you will want to consider the court in La Piazza in Ironside Miami which was designed by businessman Ofer Mizrahi. The local Italian organizations especially Sons of

Miami-Dade County Bocce Courts

Italy are involved in charitable construction of local courts especially in Catholic schools and

Miami - Dante Fascell Park, Bocce Ristorante & Ironside Plaza

they are a great source to go to for Bocce Ball related events and even local places to play bocce ball. There is also a meetup group

Marathon Key Community Park

called Free Range Bocce Ball, they have many members but they do not play on a court rather

Big Pine Key Community Park

an open space. Baci - Bocce!!

Bella Venice known to Italians as Venezia

Gondolas, Canals, the iconic St Mark’s Square and Basilica, the romantic ambiance on waterside piazza's and of course delicious food… that's what I think of when I think of Venice, Italy. Venice is the capital of the Veneto region of Italy. It is in a group of 118 small islands that are separated by canals and linked by over 400 bridges. The Venetian Islands are located in the shallow Venetian Lagoon, an enclosed bay that lies between the mouths of the Po and the Piave river. Much of Venezia’s wealth is derived from salt production, which Venetians perfected by evaporating seawater from the lagoons surrounding the city. Salt was such a valuable commodity that it was used to pay armies for their service, this is where the word “salary” came from, which we all still use today. A dish not to miss, in Venenzia, is Branzino Intrecciato, Mediterranean Sea Bass braided with rosemary and baked in white wine. So rich in flavor you won't forget it just like this amazing city! Each area and corner of Bella Italy has its own charm and style! Italy holds an absolute lifetime of dreams waiting to happen along with world history and personal history for all Italians!
