Royal Poinciana Names Lilly Leas Ferreira as General Manager The Royal Poinciana Plaza is pleased to announce that Lilly Leas Ferreira has been appointed as the plaza’s new General Manager as of January 15, 2019. Lilly succeeds Interim General Manager Alexandra Patterson who has been managing the property since the departure of Lori Berg in 2018.
“Over the last two years, I’ve had the pleasure of watching The Royal Poinciana Plaza transform,” says Lilly Leas Ferreira. “Now a hub of activity, it has been reimagined as an international destination both for our community and visitors alike for fashion, great food and events. I’m thrilled to join the incredible team and world-class group of tenants at The Royal Poinciana Plaza, and I look forward to working on new opportunities that spotlight the plaza’s rich history and exciting future.”
A fourth-generation Palm Beach local, Lilly brings a background in public relations and project management to her new role. After graduating from Florida Atlantic University, Lilly launched a successful PR and consulting firm on the island. She looked after a portfolio of over 30 clients, ranging from retail, hospitality and non-profit industries. She successfully sold the company in 2016 and attended University of Florida to receive her M.B.A.
Most recently, Lilly served as Project Manager for NextEra Energy, Inc., a Fortune 200 company and parent company of Florida Power and Light, through a Leadership Development Program. There, Lilly supported multiple business units, including renewable energy development, business management and regulatory and political affairs.
“We are thrilled to officially welcome Lilly to our team and family at The Royal Poinciana Plaza,” Samantha Perry David, Chief Operating Officer of WS Development and Head of UpMarkets, a division of WS Development, said. “Lilly is an active member of the community and having been born and raised on the island, will be able to interact with our customers in a truly authentic way.”
Lilly serves on several local fundraising committees, such as Loggerhead Marinelife Center. She lives in West Palm Beach with her husband, daughter and rescue dog. Lilly’s family roots extend deep into Palm Beach’s history – she is the granddaughter of fashion icon, Lilly Pulitzer and great-granddaughter of department store magnate, Rodman Wanamaker.
About The Royal Poinciana Plaza The Royal Poinciana Plaza is an iconic destination that serves as a jewel box oasis in the heart of beautiful Palm Beach. Built in the late 1950s, it stands today as a landmarked property and one of Palm Beach’s most treasured architectural gems. With 180,000 square feet of retail space and lush, sprawling gardens, it offers a unique international shopping and entertainment destination for indulgence, inspiration, and retreat.
Designed by world-renowned architect John Volk, The Royal echoes some of Europe's legendary retail destinations like the Palais Royal in Paris. The property has been carefully restored to its original mid-century glamour while remaining true to its retail roots. Its offerings will include a unique mix of luxury retail, fashion, dining and entertainment, along with amenities for both local and international visitors.
Arranged around two beautiful courtyards with outdoor furniture, palm trees and gardens, The Royal provides a destination for guests to enjoy outdoor events, read the paper, sip a coffee, gather with family and friends, shop or dine. Lakshmi Sinclair
Exclusive Interview with Lakshmi Sinclair SF) What should every woman try at least once in her life? I think taking a trip on your own, going on a journey completely alone is the best gift any woman can give herself. For me it happened by purely by accident. I had a work assignment with my father to go to London, travel through Romania and visit Dublin to attend a literary symposium on the last leg (my father is a retired diplomat, but also a well know novelist). The article and subsequent novel he was writing was based on Bram Stoker and the legend of Dracula. We ended going at different times due to his schedule. Suddenly I realized I was in Transylvania and traveling through the Carpathian Mountains on my own at about 2am with a cartologist and an ex-army officer trying to find Dracula’s hidden castle- the whole experience was surreal! For me that was a major turning point because I realized how liberating and freeing travel can be...it definitely empowered me!
SF) What brings you the greatest joy? My amazing family and my incredible friends! Seeing my clients’ growth and success throughout the years in South Florida has been incredibly rewarding. Our family has been involved in Angel’s House located in Chennai, India also. My mother sends me all the latest pics every week and being able to watch the girls blossom from young girls into young ladies has probably given me the most joy.
SF) Who are your heroes? My mother, my grandmother, my sister, my niece & of course as everyone knows Mother Teresa... We were fortunate enough to meet Mother Teresa throughout the years when my father was Ambassador of India to various countries in Europe, Asia & Africa. It was an amazing experience seeing what she manifested and created from such humble beginnings.
SF) What is your favorite spot to go to? I have so many, we are so blessed to be in South Florida- really we’re spoilt with all the choices! I would have to say my favorite local area to hang out in has been Delray Beach and my favorite spot for dining in Delray has to be City Oyster. I have always had a great time there! Their service is above and beyond and the food is incredible. The sushi is by far the best out their cocktails are pretty amazing too!
SF) What is your favorite drink? Champagne! It’s perfect for any occasion! Now, one of my favorites is Lamborghini Champagne!

Contrasting Elements: OPA LOCKA Miami's New Concours Club to Offer Membership at $350K
Concours Club Artists Rendition
Miami, a city famous for its mind-numbing traffic and slow-cruise culture, is lately looking like the best city for cars in America. Soon after Formula One won its bid to hold a race there next year and Grand Basel announced it’ll have an automotive event there in February, two developers have solidified plans to build a $220 million racetrack and private members club just 11 miles from Miami’s artsy Wynwood district. Set to open at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport in May 2019, The Concours Club will offer more than 2 miles of racetrack designed by Alan Wilson, plus an infinity pool and jacuzzi, full spa and a hammam, wine and cigar storage, restaurant and bar, and full concierge services. “The amenities are what set us apart,” said co-founder Neil Gehani. “We want to be sure we bring in the right people, and then we want to keep everyone here once they get here.” Gehani and co-owner Jay Pollak will offer 40 founding memberships costing $350,000, with no annual dues. Founding members will then invite friends and colleagues to buy “legacy memberships” capped at 150 people. Those will cost $125,000 plus annual dues. Corporate memberships may be offered shortly after the initial opening. If that all sounds like a steep ante, it is. But it’s consistent with the pricing of other private tracks around the world such as the Thermal Club outside Palm Springs, Calif., and the Monticello Motor Club, set in the lush Hudson Valley of upstate New York. And, to put it in perspective, it’s less than the cost of even one of the cars—a Pagani Zonda costs $1.4 million, for instance, and a Koenigsegg Agera costs $2.1 million—owned by the prospective members, who will be a mix of wealthy international collectors and local, well-connected driving enthusiasts.

The latest Ferrari one-off project, the SP3JC, has been officially consigned to its owner. Designed by the Ferrari Styling Centre, the SP3JC was commissioned by a Ferrari client and collector whose brief set out to create a pure, uncompromising roadster using the chassis and running gear of the F12tdf.
The sole one-off car to be commissioned on this limited-series special, the SP3JC is the maximum expression of open-air motoring, harking back to Ferrari’s epic V12-engined spiders of the 1950s and ‘60s. The striking one-off makes an important and individual styling statement and represents the outcome of over two years of intense work, with close involvement from the client throughout the process.
The SP3JC features a very muscular stance with dynamic sculpturing on the flanks designed to emphasise the frontengine layout, a distinctive air intake outline at the front, and a dramatic rear fascia with horizontal slashes contributing to a wider stance.
The client’s passion for Pop Art is reflected in the strong graphics, and the unique combination of the Azzurro Met and Giallo Modena livery over the main Bianco Italia colour scheme underlines the car’s sensual volumes.
The sporting theme is reinforced by specific detailing such as split glass inserts on the bonnet to show off the 780cv V12 engine, a flying bridge between the fairings of the integral carbon-fibre roll hoops and a brushed aluminium external fuel filler cap.
The seats are trimmed in blue leather with a white insert. The blue leather extends to the lower dashboard and the colour is picked up in the contrasting stitching to the rest of the interior trim.
