Mom, on your special special day, I want to dedicate this magazine to you. You have been trying to talk me into launching a wellness magazine for at least five years now and I felt that it was time to listen and make it happen.

As your only son, I feel blessed to have you as my mother You have always been my biggest supporter, encouraging me to be true to myself and pursue my dreams. Your unwavering love and acceptance have helped me become the person I am today.

On this Mother's Day, I want to thank you for all the love, laughter, and good vibes you bring into my life. Your hippy spirit and positive energy are contagious, and I feel grateful to be your son.

Happy Mother's Day, Mom! May this day be filled with love, peace, and happiness, and may you continue to spread your light to everyone you meet

FERRARI SPRING/SUMMER 2023 CAMPAIGN BY PAOLO ROVERSI

The dream of Ferrari brought on stage during the fashion show at the Teatro Lirico Giorgio Gaber in Milan inspires the new advertising campaign devised by expert Paolo Roversi as an artistic sequence of visual works interpreted Mariacarla Boscono and Rapha Keijzer, today’s icons who perfectly embody the style and the values of the collection.

Mariacarla is the quintessence of the Ferrari woman, a traveller and experimenter of the present who uses fashion as a tool to express herself and explore the border between masculine and feminine At her side is Rapha, with his classic yet decisive charm, like every expression of the Ferrari universe His representation of masculinity contrasts between practicality and elegance, reminiscent of the constant connection between car and man, at the centre of the Ferrari universe

The looks portrayed celebrate the collection’s three fundamental elements, bringing the sartorial and artisan value of each shape, fabric and detail to the forefront. The workwear is reinterpreted and elevated using the leather’s exquisite duality, and the meticulous execution of the embroideries made using reconditioned screws and bolts from the Maranello production lines.

Basis Industrial, a privately held and vertically integrated real estate owner and operator based in Boca Raton, Florida, closed on/purchased the "Tampa Industrial Portfolio," including Brandywine Business Center at 3801 Corporex Park Drive, Tampa, FL, 33619; Corporex Plaza at 3902 Corporex Park Drive, Tampa, 33619; and Presidents Plaza Business Center at 4801 George Road, Tampa, 33634 on April 28. The purchase price was $33 million. The total acquisition cost was above $35 million, as Basis plans to invest heavily in the property

The properties, totaling 224,108 square feet on 16.1 acres, are Basis' first assets in Tampa. This acquisition elevates Basis to owning and managing more than 2 million square feet of multi-tenant industrial and mixed-use commercial real estate. Basis has been acquiring this asset class since its launch in January 2022.

Anthony Scavo, COO and president of Basis Industrial, represented Basis in the transaction; Marcus & Millichap represented the seller. JLL sourced debt for the transaction.

"This was a difficult transaction to get closed and we went above and beyond to assist the seller to get it done," said Anthony Scavo, who was the buyer representative and is Basis's Chief Operating Officer and President.

Current clients leasing in the "Tampa Industrial Portfolio" are Joffrey's Coffee, Acree Air Condition, Pharmscript of Florida, Ademco, Inc , Tri-Ed Distribution, Inspectorate America, Echo UES, Inc , National Flood Expert, IGT Global Solutions, Rauland-Borg Corporation, Sunrun, and many more

Basis plans to expand their footprint in the Tampa Metropolitan Statistical Area (MSA).

"We are thrilled to expand to Tampa by purchasing these valuable properties that fit our acquisition strategy of multitenant industrial," said Daniel Weinstein, CEO of Basis Industrial. "We love Tampa and see many advantages to diversifying our portfolio by tapping into this market. We are bullish on Tampa and hope to grow to 1 million square feet here in the near future."

"We feel strongly about the growth we are seeing in Tampa and the surrounding areas. We hope to take advantage of it by expanding our acquisitions of select properties," added Scavo. "We see opportunity in this tumultuous market. When other investors are hiding, we are buying."

Basis uses its subsidiary management company, BaySpace, to manage the company's industrial assets. BaySpace now has over 20 employees and manages all 2 million square feet Basis has acquired.

Bennett Family Award Honors Global Collaborations in the Science of Wellness

Two groundbreaking professors the University of Chicago's Juan de Pablo and the Weizmann Institute of Science's Alon Chen received the inaugural Bennett Family Award for Collaboration in the Science of Wellness. The annual award is designed to recognize experts doing collaborative research that merges science and wellness for the advancement of human health and wellbeing globally. It is a joint initiative between wellness advocate and Bennett Family Foundation President Bija Bennett and the Global Wellness Summit, an annual international symposium for leaders shaping the wellness industry's future.

Scientific partnerships are critical today, especially in the wellness sector. It is becoming more important than ever as we strive to restore health, promote resilience and prevent disease across lifespans," Bennett noted in presenting the honor. As a life-long champion of mental health awareness and scientific collaboration, she advocates for an emerging wellness paradigm that addresses the whole person in multiple and interconnected dimensions. "I believe collaborations allow researchers to learn new approaches from each other and apply this knowledge to innovative solutions in their own work, " Bennett pointed out.

Bennett's second, though no less important, impetus for establishing the Bennett Family Award was to honor the role her parents, Marshall and Arlene Bennett, played in bringing together the Weizmann Institute and the University of Chicago and funding many of their collaborative projects. Building on the existing Marshall and Arlene Bennett Family Research Program, the two institutions recently expanded their joint projects to include artificial intelligence research with the Toyota Technological Institute.

"I believe the wellness industry must become deeply integrated with science and cultivate more research on issues that can help people achieve optimal wellness. With my parents gone, I wish to celebrate their legacy and carry their seminal work forward," Bennett said.
