Greetings and welcome to the 2023 A&D Raw Materials and Manufacturing conference (#ADRMM) in Atlanta, GA.
We know you can attend any number of industry events, and we appreciate you choosing to spend your valuable time with us over the next day and a half. We have worked diligently to deliver a stellar line-up of speakers to address the most pressing issues for stakeholders in the aerospace raw materials and manufacturing industries. Take advantage of the opportunity to visit the MRO exhibition hall, which opens on Tuesday, and network with fellow industry professionals attending the event. I challenge everyone to engage and build their network with attendees you haven’t met before and leave the event with at least ten new solid contacts.
Our opening keynote speakers are Oliver Dreier from Airbus and Jeffrey Carpenter from Boeing. We are delighted to have them in attendance and to share their views of the industry. Looking ahead to 2023 and beyond, Dreier will address A Resurgent Demand for Raw Materials. Carpenter will present a high-level view of supply chain management for raw materials and their global operations in his talk An Industry View from Boeing’s Perspective.
A special programming note, starting in 2024, we will expand into a content-packed super summit conference featuring A&D SupplyChain, Raw Materials & Manufacturing, all in one location. This is an exciting new development, and the conference will be a must-attend for companies from all levels of the supply chain in the global commercial and defense markets. So, mark your calendar for January 23-25, 2024, in Universal City, CA.
A special thank you to our conference sponsors, Constellium and Cyril Bath, and our purposeful partnership sponsor, Vaughn College.
Lastly, a personal thank you to Peter Zimm, Cliff Collier and other industry leaders for their support and input on the agenda. To the ADRMM speakers, thank you for being the best part of our program.
On behalf of the entire Aviation Week Network team, we hope you find your days full of learning, fact-gathering and networking. Enjoy the show.

Sustainability Initiatives: Growth Driver and Building Your Competitive Advantage
The aerospace industry is evolving and adapting to a sustainability framework that includes scores on emissions, recycled parts, and overall environmental measurements across the supply chain. International Air Transport Association (IATA) has an ambitious target to make flying net zero by 2050. According to Accenture, 98% of aerospace and defense executives agree that it will be essential to engage with and scale sustainability ecosystem partnerships over the next two years. Attend this session for a status report on the stated industry goal. How will your company measure against competitors in meeting the industry target?

Case Studies in Manufacturing Analytics
Manufacturing Analytics, or Factory Analytics, yields amazing insights into complex operations. Power BI or Tableau for ‘as is’ or descriptive analytics is commonplace in North American aerospace shops. However, only a few visionary shops are taking the lead in harnessing the power of predictive and prescriptive analytics. A case study will demonstrate the evolution of prescriptive analytics with real examples across the aerospace tiers. You will hear and discuss why Aerospace manufacturing is uniquely complex when implementing smart manufacturing. Learn also about practical issues like data completeness, consistency, and accuracy.
