In all aspects of business, there are tremendous benefits from digitization. However, with those benefits, there is a corresponding increase in risk. Compounding this challenge is the fact that there is also an increasingly complex compliance environment, both domestically and internationally, that we see in the ever-changing regulatory and commercial contract landscape. This session will identify some of the risks associated with a digital transformation, address current industry practices to safely and effectively manage those risks, walk through some of the more-recent regulatory and commercial cybersecurity requirements, and provide an overview and takeaways for establishing compliance.
12:30pm Networking Lunch Sponsored by 2:00pm Thought Leader Session Hosted by 2:35pm Panel: Software Modernization in Aerospace As software modernization progresses, what challenges and opportunities are there within legacy system replacement? What roadblocks exist to transforming legacy data? What are the biggest tests when integrating with OEM platforms and how can industry collaboration seek to better this process?
11:30pm Panel: Cybersecurity in Connected Aircraft Hacking is a growth industry, and while the exponential increase in data points and transfers between aircraft, airports, sensors, and cabins has driven significant efficiencies, the risks remain substantial. This session will review the infrastructure and skills required to mitigate this hazard and avoid the significant damage a cyber attack could have on your company and reputation..

The automotive industry is regularly seen to lead the way in digital transformation. Considering key principles including manufacturing workflows, performance management and data sharing within organizations, what were the key milestones in the digital transformation, what parallels can be drawn and what are the lessons learned?
11:35am Panel: Sustainability and Digital Transformation To reach net zero targets, sustainability must be at the center of business operations and integrated into all phases of manufacturing, production, and operations. From optimizing airspace for more efficient fuel consumption to using digital twins to reduce reactive maintenance, this session will assess the role of digital technologies in driving sustainable progress and evaluate the role of collaboration needed to meet ambitious targets.
There are numerous applications of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in maintenance. It may indeed lead to a paradigm shift in maintenance planning and execution. While processing of sensor data gets a lot of attention in the area, there is also a large opportunity to use computers to do voice transcription and text analytics. Full-blown Natural Language Processing (NLP) in this area will lead to faster execution and faster and more accurate documentation.
With the volume of data collected on a single transatlantic flight amounting to hundreds of terabytes, collection, storage, and analytics are crucial to informing both immediate troubleshooting and longer-term decisions in maintenance and design. What tools and strategies are available to ensure effective data management and to enable all parts of an organization to use data?
