Diego Georgiadis – Technical Director

Diego is a highly experienced Aeronautical Engineer, aircraft mechanic and holds an MBA degree. With more than 25 years’ experience in the maintenance and engineering industry, he went from mechanic under supervision at Austral Cielos del Sur – Líneas Aéreas, to the highest authority of the Aerolíneas Argentinas technical organization as Technical Director. Throughout his career, he was part of important projects and processes of both Austral and Aerolíneas Argentinas, including complete fleets entry into service and phase out, line maintenance operations, engineering and complex challenges like MRO certifications and audit programs or the Austral and Aerolíneas Argentinas merger into a single operator certificate process in 2020. Diego is a passionate leader. He breaths aviation and is fully committed to assuring that Aerolíneas Argentinas always keeps the highest levels of safety, efficiency and excellence.

Diego De Risio – VP MRO

Diego is an industry seasoned professional with more than 35 years’ experience in various positions, companies and roles. As the Aerolíneas Argentinas VP MRO, Diego is in charge of leading the MRO business unit of the Aerolíneas Argentinas group. Aeronautical Engineer, aircraft mechanic, holding an MBA, he started his career as an apprentice mechanic, and continued to grow professionally developing a very comprehensive journey as mechanic, engineer several strategic management positions, including Planning and Engineering Manager, Production Manager, and Technical Director at LAPA, LATAM Airlines, Norwegian Argentina and currently, a Aerolíneas Argentinas. Mariela bears a key role within the Aerolíneas Argentinas technical organization: She is in charge of assuring seamless supply chain and procurement operations and monitoring all the economic and financial processes, including the MRO and the airline P&L and accounting activities. With a solid financial and economical background, Mariela started her career at Austral Cielos del Sur – Líneas Aéreas and took various positions in the financial, administrative and compliance areas, accumulating more than 20 years’ experience in the aviation industry.
