SUSTAINABILITY At New Base Business Park, we have implemented an innovative, precinct scale approach to Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD). By integrating WSUD principles from precinct inception, the development has improved the quality of local creeks, and reduced the risk of downstream flooding. Due to the precinct scale approach to Water Sensitive Urban Design, this allows greater site area of individual lots to be utilised for building and hardstand.

On a 5,000m2 lot, this equates to an initial construction cost saving of $20,000 and ongoing annual maintenance cost of just $3,000*.
