Countering models of TOD or Transit Oriented Development, “Ghittorni” is established as self sustaining , revenue generating, community . Concepts of horticulture , farming , Native to Ghittorni are re-introduced. To Provide people with income opportunities , institutions and facilities are set up to support the community. the Concept of fixed population: the numbers are estimated and ONLY requisite housing provided. This is sustained through the intrinsic capacity of the site in terms of its rersources. FURTHUR The master plan entailed : 1. Framing of policies and guidelines to regulate growth as per predetermined estimates. 2. Detailed design scheme for ghiottorni village , the farmhouses , 3. Detailed design scheme for the interface between the village and farmhouses. 4. Development of the “new residential” housing 5. Development of facilities and institutions
