Sioux City is proud of the city-wide trail system it has developed. The trail system provides citizens and visitors the opportunity to explore the unique landscape of the Missouri River along the Chris Larsen Park Riverfront Trail, enjoy an urban experience along the Perry Creek Trail, and benefit from the natural habitat of the Bacon Creek Trail. Sioux City offers close to 35 miles of paved recreational trails suitable for walking, jogging, running, biking, and skateboarding. Each trail connection offers an exceptional way to enjoy our City.

TRAIL CONNECTIONS

The Perry Creek Trail system provides access to the Downtown and residential areas along the creek offering a lighted trail system, benches, signage, and pedestrian bridges. The Perry Creek Trail runs from Pierce Street to Stone Park Boulevard for approximately 3.2 miles. Trail users can walk/ jog/run/bike along the trail and connect to the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail that offers a route along the Missouri River from Chautauqua Park to Riverside Park for approximately 11 miles of trail (one way).
