We are all star dust. The nucleus of all our atoms were born from the center of stars several billion years ago. Hubert Reeves astrophysicist

Neverlandscape I am on a quest to find the source of where dreams find their imagery. On looking closely at an atlas, you can see the lines and blocks of color which delineate the different countries and continents. Each element is joined to the next like some kind of shamanic design. In the time it takes to browse through this Book of Marvels and already certain details will have changed: here a sea is shrinking, there a continent is sliding under another. Lines are stretched and color blocks are changed, and a new country emerges, both scientifically real and perfectly imaginary. This country is our blind spot. It is like the vague memory of a film whose title we have forgotten but where certain scenes seem familiar. These jungles suspended just below the clouds belong as much to our collective imagination as they do to the landscape of the new world. What time is it, and where are we? Could it be the 25th hour, not daytime and certainly not the night, in infinity 10째West? Thanks to the tectonics of the soul, the world has become a garden again. We are back to the Pangaea, to 280 million years ago when the continents were but one. Or are we simply in one of those imagined countries that ancient cartographers invented in guise of their signature. Approach in silence and you will first see a jungle, rooted in the imaginary, a jungle where human ails are absorbed and flung skyward. Here we perceive a glasshouse protecting as much as it hides. There, a bridge, suspended between two worlds. And further along, just below us hiding in a little clearing, a forgotten bedstead slumbers amid the wild flowers: ancient dreams, worlds anew. From the far side of the valley, through the mist, we make out the sound of a fast-moving car. Inside, Joseph Mallord William Turner, turned toward the driver, is passionately discussing lyrical abstraction. The driver laconically replies that he used to be a seaman, and he thought simply of the waves rushing beneath the shell of the ship and the bottomless deeps thereunder - now he could feel the road some twenty inches beneath him, unfurling and flying and hissing at incredible speeds across the groaning continent.

As a seaman I used to think of the waves rushing beneath the shell of the ship and the bottomless deeps thereunder - now I could feel the road some twenty inches beneath me, unfurling and flying and hissing at incredible speeds across the groaning continent with that mad Ahab at the wheel. When I closed my eyes, all I could see was the road unwinding into me. When I opened them I saw flashing shadows of trees vibrating on the floor of the car. There was no escaping it. I resigned myself to all. Jack Kerouac – On the Road
