Shibuya Crossing Tower Mall kiosk

Spring 2016 | 3th Year Project type: Commercial/Retail merchandise unit Duration: 1 week Client: Ishira land Development

Displaying different apartments in a shopping mall, the retail merchandise unit involves two different types of interactive walls, one with pivoting panels with plans, sections and elevations of the displayed apartments and another magnetic where customers would be able to explore and choose the adequate furniture and color palette for them. The semi-open kiosk also integrates exterior wall made of linear bamboo with interior resin bamboo panels acting as dividers.

Shibuya Crossing Tower Retail Showroom

Spring 2016 | 3th Year Project type: Commercial space Duration: 3 week Client: Ishira land Development

The main purpose of the showroom is to display different apartments located in the Shibuya crossing tower with different sizes. It is divided into two levels with the ground floor characterized by a waiting area at the entrance and elevated platform and open library where customers would discover information about the apartments through acrylic and wooden panels. Discussions could also happen in the ground floor as well as the first floor in an open working and public meeting area. The first level involves private meeting rooms, presentation of the apartments, furniture and product display that could be eventually purchased. It also included backlit interactive magnetic walls and bar space.

The temporary museum exhibition The Development of kitchen design and tools focus varies from wide display of famous modern industrial product tools and utensils to the introduction of innovative and challenging technologies that would change our traditional way of interacting with the most used space in daily life, the kitchen and open free cooking classes. Exhibition 1 is formed by a curved wood panel wall that defines the different sections of the space whereas in Exhibition 2, the visitor has the opportunity to walk around individual displays, screens and table prepaID002 ration units to experience and test innovative tools. 4

The display concept of the jewelry store revolves around a set of bended metal U-shape elements that can be assembled in different directions. Varying in height and width they can be superposed or interlocked to form to low display units as well as cantilevered hanging displays from the wall, seating spaces and vertical circulation. Apart from the metal, some jewelry displays also have been finished by bent plywood, acting as a continuation with the wood flooring. Each unit has a form of a parallelogram that has for dimension 5 to 7 cm and an angle of 75 degrees. In terms of materials, customers could experience a private VIP space primed by a dark oak wood, contrasting with cherry wood incorporated in the ground floor.

Spring 2016| 3th Year Project type: Residential Duration: 3 weeks Client: Irisho Lan development, Japan Designed for an apartment including a defined entrance, bathroom, open kitchen and bedroom, the resident(s) is able to control the degree of privacy and publicness spaces needed through adaptable and moveable metal partitions that can be attached and detached from each other. Through its flexibility, the main spaceâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s atmosphere could change from a working study space, living room to a dining room. Also, storage areas and bookshelves are provided. Elevated wood flooring is used to differentiate between service areas from living spaces. Also, in order to give an illusion of depth to the 45m2 apartment, frosted glass has been applied to the some door partition in order to diffuse light and at the same time provide privacy.

The 75 m2 apartment located in Shibuya crossing tower involves a centered-main unit that encompass private and public bathroom, acting as a divider between private and public spaces. At the same time, service kitchen wall forms also a threshold that would act as separation between living room and main bedroom. Also, storage spaces are indirectly provided by moveable wooden partitions.

The projects consisted of designing a single wall using the physical properties of the Brick of same size and shape but creating a certain experience by alternating courses and stretchers in an methodic and organized way. DESIGN-BUILT STUDIO

Spring 2017 | 4th Year Project type: Furniture design Duration: 3 months Client: College of Art, Design and Architecture , American Univeristy of Sharjah

Derived from concept of Arabic tent â&#x20AC;&#x153;Al Khaimahâ&#x20AC;?, the main purpose of the group project consists of turning a previous dead end space under the main stairs at the entrance of the building into a comfortable and socially interacting seating space. Modeling the triangular shape of the stairs, the built-in design includes a middle-placed projector and screen, essential for activity and work projections as well as a display shelves for students work. The main structure consists of ash wood and steel for exposed connections and tubes of 3 cm. Also, the flexibility of the rope, used as the second main material, contributes to the comfort of the seating adjusted according to the shape of human body. In addition, the LED lights incorporated in the design give an effect of indirect and soft illumination to the ladder.

BALANCE-SHELF Mobile library competition

The Concept of Balance Shelf consists of multifunctional and flexible library unit, intending to accommodate a wide range of school children and young users, differing in terms of height and age. Through an interactive mechanism of single pulley, the child is able to move the bookshelves units, at a desirable and comfortable height, creating an amusing and fun experience of choosing a book and also helping disabled children to access them easily. The structural unit also provides moveable and stacked seating spaces that could be pulled to enhance the experience of reading either alone or together, in addition to a pivot mechanism of horizontal table surfaces that contribute to the multipurpose educational space. 1561 1151 50
