KARIS

An immigrant, a sister, a friend and a daughter! KARIS is one to remember. A Jamaican at heart and soul, she incorporates reggae into her style, both musically and culturally. Her EP “Rebels” (Pg 4) is exhibit A and its lovely, from songs like; “Get like this”, “Overdrive” to “Call da referee” KARIS shows her heritage and background. Powerful and unique, she delivers every line with a strike that doesn’t miss. A performer. Performing numerous festivals and clubs; From the market to CanJam. She’s undoubtedly making her case in the industry. She produces, she writes, she composes and a singer/ rapper. KARIS has been doing this since a child, from recording her first music at a tender age, performing at church events, moving countries and still being embedded in music. So much so, she set up recording base in her room, interning at multiple studios and even going to post secondary school to learn the art of music business. She cares and it shows. KARIS comes from a family of singers. Her mom accompanies others on her church praise and worship along with her sister giving background vocals on her EP. KARIS life is music, music is who she is! From her style of fashion to her way of communicating. She’s always thinking musically, how can she get better and always striving to be the best at what she does. An inspiration to many and a role model to some. KARIS will continue to make stride in this industry and continue her journey to set her name in stone. She loves what she does, and her fans loves what she does. You will too! KARIS a musical genius, on her way to the top.
