In response to the outbreak of COVID-19 since November 2019. COVID-19 entered Indonesia in early March 2020, affecting all economical sectors in Indonesia. In Bali, Denpasar is the most affected region. The Kawan Baik Indonesia Foundation and the Fair Future Foundation take quick action in the form of basic measures to help the most affected communities. The impact of this virus does not only affect the workers, but it also affects their whole community and families.

The government regulations to stop the spread of the virus is to issue a ban on activities and advising people to not leave the house and to work from home. But in a country with so many "daily-income" workers who work on the street as food vendors, online motorcycle taxis, street vendors etc, this is asking them to stop eating and to stop providing food for their loved-ones.

The fact, more than half of the population in Indonesia is a dailyincome population working in the informal sector. The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) notes that the informal sector dominates employment. In February 2019, there were 74 million people aged 15 years and over who worked in the informal sector, while only 55.3 million worked in the formal sector. (*) Kawan Baik Indonesia Foundation, Fair Future Foundation, and Good Friends will support the community with daily income and needy people affected by the COVID-19 epidemic by providing some nutritious and healthy food, washable masks, home-made handsanitiser, soap and correct prevention information about COVID -19.

In the first chapter, which took place from March 28 to April 9, 2020, more than 700 "Goodie Bags" or packages had been distributed to local communities in Bali (region of Denpasar, Tabanan and Jembrana). Friends from various communities also helped in the process of packing and distributing aid. COVID-19 COMMUNITY CARE chapter 2 will start soon and we hope that many good friends will continue to support us to go through this together. The outbreak is still continuing and more and more people are in need of help.

The choice of food ingredients that we entered in chapter 2 is still with healthy guidelines but we rethink the content for a longer conservation of the aliments. The main goal is for the beneficiaries to have food for the whole family or more than a few days. Nutritional intake of the community, especially the mothers and children must be paid more attention. This is the reason why we also added some additional products such as sanitary pad for women and infant milk.

Purpose: Provide information to the communities about COVID19, its spread, and how to prevent transmission by giving a virus information brochure, mask, soap, and hand-sanitiser. Providing food aid, sanitary and essential products such as women pads, infant milk, and vitamins as a supplement so that the community gets adequate nutrition and good immune system.

WE ARE MORE THAN HAPPY TO HELP BECAUSE WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHERÂ

COVID-19 COMMUNITY CARE

OUTPUT: The population will have a better understanding of the spread and on the global situation related to the COVID-19 virus. They will be able to act independently and to take action in order to avoid the transmission and to protect their communities and families. The people most affected at the economic level will have a supply of food and vitamins to help their immune system. Infants from affected economic groups also receive nutritious milk and food. Women will receive supplies of sanitary products. Soap, hand-sanitisers, and masks will be distributed as the main means of self-protection for the communities.

HOW: We provide 100 goodie bags that will be distributed 2 times a week for 1 month. Distribution on 28 April - 19 May 2020 with a total of 700 packages. Each goodie bag contains: 1. Rice 2. Sugar 3. Egg 4. Cooking oil 5. Potatoes / sweet potatoes 6. Carrot 7. Protein Products (tempeh or similar) 8. Vegetable Noodles 9. Toddler Formula Milk 1-5 years 10. Sanitary pads 11. Soap / Hand-Sanitiser 12. Masks 13. Vitamin / Herbal Supplement 14. The flyer contains information about COVID-19 prevention These packages will be distributed to people affected on an economical level by this outbreak.

In the first chapter, support came from Friends from various groups, UD. BOA, Bali Asli, Bali Banana, Gojek and Grab communities, Perwaron Organization and QLC. Rumah Sanur Creative HUB gives its support by providing a place to organise the packing and the delivery of the material. Friends who voluntarily want to participate can come to help with the packing process by registering through the form that we provide. For mutual security, we limit the number of friends who wish to participate at the site. Volunteer Door to Door can send 5 names by sending a photo of IDs to be submitted as beneficiaries of Goodie Bags. We will send Goodie Bags to the Door to Door Volunteer location and they will send to the recipient's home by providing photos at the time of submission as documentation.

THIS IS JUST A DROP OF WATER IN THE OCEAN, BUT WE HOPE IT WILL INSPIRE OTHERS TO DO THE SAME.
