PIMA AIR AND SPACE MUSEUM
The concept for the museum began in 1966 after the commanders of Tucson’s air force base set examples of World War II and 1950s era aircrafts on the fence line for the public to view. In 1976, the new museum site opened where it now holds an extensive collection of aircrafts and exhibits.
