Gospel Trick Shot #21

Prodigal Son!

History of the Trick Shot: This shot also is an ongoing continuation of converting Artistic Pool shots from the WPA sanctioned World Artistic Pool program into Gospel Trick Shots. In the latest Official Shot/Challenge Program this particular shot is found in Disciple 5 and it is Shot 3a. In the video the shot is performed by Brian “Superman” Pauley in his home pool room called Big Money Billiard Parlor in London, Ohio. Brian serves as Chaiman of the WPA Artistic Pool Division and is on our GTS RACK Team. This Artistic Pool shot has a degree of difficulty rating of 8 with shots ranging from 6 to 10. This is a mid-range shot on the spectrum and requires practice, knowledge, and skill to make it consistently! GTS Name and Why: Yours truly Steve Lillis did a live-in person Gospel Trick Shot show this past July of this year as Brian streamed it on the Big Money live steam and our GTS RACK Rooms live Facebook page. Brian has been videoing GTS shots for AZBilliards.com “Buzz” Magazine all year in the back room of the Big Money Billiard Parlor. He looks through the Artistic Pool program and is able to come up with a visual Gospel Trick Shot to relay a spiritual message. In this shot you will see why he calls it the Prodigal Son as you view his video. You can always modify any Artistic Pool shot to give a visual of your GTS message.

Scripture References in NIV Transla-

tion: Please read the actual story of the Prodigal Son as told by Jesus in the Bible in the Gospel according to Luke 15: 11 - 32.

Cue Ball Placement: Frozen to the cushion at the 3rd diamond.

Object Ball(s) Placement: ‘E’ ball frozen to the cushion and to the cue ball. Objective: Shoot the cue ball to bank one rail as diagrammed. ‘E’ ball will roll in front of pocket ‘E’. The cue ball will bank back into ‘E’ ball and make it in pocket ‘E’.

Special Notes: Speed or pace of the shot is very important as well as your aiming angle on the other side of the table. Find your own and be consistent!

Crowd Reactions Through the Years:

In Artistic Pool competition this could be a very critical shot in the program and one that should be made consistently if you practice. As a Gospel Trick Shot, I have not seen it performed in a live GTS show but Brian did a good job of delivering this important and critical message. Have you pushed God away and decided to live life apart from Him? We are all guilty at times! Brian illustrates by this shot in the video, that God is always waiting for us to return! So, if this is your time please return to Jesus! God bless you!
