WINTER READING December 13, 2021 - January 31, 2022 December 13, 2021 - January 31, 2022 What is Winter Reading? Winter Reading is a FREE and fun way the library encourages the community to read! This year participants will be provided with a reading-based activity booklet. Turn in a completed activity booklet by January 31st and earn a prize! Plus, be entered into extra drawings for age-appropriate GRAND PRIZES!
Who Can Participate? Everyone! Ages 0-100+!
How Do I Get Started? Stop by the library during open hours beginning December 13th to register and pick up your activity booklet.

Saturday, December 18 @ 10:30 AM Azle Memorial Library Community Room Children ages 4-10 & their families are invited to listen to stories about sweet treats at Christmastime. Then decorate a gingerbread cookie themed craft! Older siblings also welcome!

Festive Red Punch
Ingredients 2 cups cranberry juice cocktail 2 cups orange juice 1 cup pineapple juice 1 cup ginger ale Directions: Refrigerate ingredients before using. Just before serving, pour ingredients into a punch bowl or glass pitcher. Serve as is, with ice on the side, or with a frozen ice ring. Makes twelve 1/2 cup servings. Can double or triple the recipe as needed.
Wassail
Ingredients 2 quarts apple cider 2 cups orange juice 3/4 cups lemon juice 2 cups pineapple juice 1 whole stick cinnamon 1 tsp. whole cloves 1/2 cup sugar, to taste
Directions: Combine ingredients in a large pot over medium-low heat. Bring to a simmer, then reduce to low for 1 hour. Strain out the cinnamon and cloves before serving. Serve warm. Refrigerate leftovers and reheat before serving.
