STAFF HIGHLIGHT: OLIVIA, OUR NEW CHILDREN'S SERVICES LIBRARIAN

“I’VE WORKED IN ALL KINDS OF LIBRARIES FROM SMALL TOWNS TO BIG CITIES, AND WHAT DRAWS ME IN EVERY TIME IS THE FEELING OF COMMUNITY AND THE LOVE OF READING. I’M EXCITED TO BE PART OF THE AZLE LIBRARY TEAM AND BRING PLAY AND EARLY LITERACY OPPORTUNITIES TO THE FAMILIES IN OUR COMMUNITY. I LOVE TO READ SCI-FI AND FANTASY NOVELS, AND WHEN I’M NOT BAKING OR READING I LOVE TO SPEND TIME WITH MY PARTNER AND MY CATS.”

HowdoI...?

Q: Access my library account online?

A: Go to catalog.mypcla.com on a computer or mobile device. Click on "Log In" in the upper right corner. The log-in is your library card number and the password is typically the last 4 digits of your phone number. Contact the library if you need to reset your password.

Q: Use the library if I forgot to bring my library card with me?

A: As long as you have a photo ID, we can grant you access to your library account to check out or use a computer. If a child or teen forgets their library card, we can look it up if their parent has their photo ID or library card.

Q: Sign up for Summer Reading?

A: Everyone is invited to sign up for Summer Reading beginning Friday, June 2, during our Kick-Off Event, or any time the Library is open through July 24. After you sign up, keep track of how many hours you read and earn prizes! Summer Reading is open to all ages 0-100+!

Q: Print something from my phone or laptop?

A: The library offers Mobile Print, which allows you to email a print job to our printers and you will have 72 hours to come pick it up. Standard printing fees apply. Visit the Information Desk for instructions.

Q: Keep track of books I have checked out in the past?

A: There is a way for your library account to remember the items you check out, but you have to request that this service be turned on. Any staff member can help you with this. Once on, you can log into your account online to see your checkout history going forward.

Q: Renew my items?

A: The library now offers auto renewal! Two days before your due date, your items will be automatically renewed unless someone is waiting for them or you have used your 3 renewals. Either way, you will receive a notification, but we encourage you to double check your account online or give us a call.

Q: Use a Study Room?

A: The Library has 3 Study Rooms. The Large one holds 1-10 people and the 2 smaller ones hold 1-4 people. They are located in the back corner of the library and are on a first- come, first-served basis. They can also be reserved by contacting the library at least one business day in advance.

Q: Suggest a title for the library to buy?

A: Patrons can suggest titles for books, movies and more by filling out an "Item Request Form", located at the Information Desk. If the library purchases the item, we can notify you once it becomes available for check out.

Q: Leave feedback about the library?

A: There is a comment box, located near the front of the library, where you can leave feedback about anything library related. You can do this anonymously, or leave your contact information if you would like us to follow up with your comments or questions.

Here are a few of the most common questions the library gets asked. Do you have questions about the library or
