JOHN JESSUP

WE are sad to report the death last week of our long-serving colleague, John Jessup, at the age of 78. He joined the company in 1996 and worked continuously since that time in the role for which he was most admired, producing Air Cargo Week.

Although he saw himself as a backroom member of the team, John made many contacts throughout the industry mostly by helping them with their media planning, promotional material and advertisement placement. This is reflected in the many tributes which have described him variously as a true character, attentive to detail, willing and kind. and meaningful supply chain consultancy, helping companies to deliver genuine change by combining deep supply chain knowledge with wide ranging business experience. I am looking forward to helping the business to continue its growth as we seek to develop a permanent base in Europe and provide high-quality projects for clients in the UK and beyond.”

All of this is, of course, very true but to us he was “Mr Reliable”; conscientious, loyal and committed; a guide, mentor and friend. He will be greatly missed.
