ARTS! R. CARLOS NAKAI AT MUSICAL INSTRUMENT MUSEUM (MIM) Saturday, May 15th at 7:30pm Of Navajo-Ute heritage, R. Carlos Nakai is the world’s premier performer of the Native American flute. Originally trained in classical trumpet and music theory, Nakai was given a
traditional cedar wood flute as a gift and challenged to see what he could do with it. Since 1983, he has released over 35 albums on the Canyon label. In addition to his solo appearances throughout the United States, Europe, and Japan, Nakai has worked with guitarist William Eaton, flutist Paul Horn, composers James DeMars and Phillip Glass and various symphony orchestras. While well-grounded in the traditional uses of the flute, Nakai has explored new musical settings including new age, world-beat jazz and classical. His cross-cultural collaborations have included an album with the Wind Travelin’ Band, a Japanese folk ensemble and Tibetan flutist and singer Nawang Khechog on several productions including “In A Distant Place.” Nakai has earned two gold records for “Canyon Trilogy” and “Earth Spirit” and has received eight Grammy nominations. Nakai’s career has been shaped by a desire to communicate a sense of Native American culture and society that transcends the common stereotypes presented in mass media. Phantom HAUNTS ARIZONA BROADWAY THEATRE Arizona Broadway Theatre’s Fifth Season continues with Maury Yeston and Arthur Kopit’s Phantom, a haunting story based on Gaston Leroux’s immortal tale of a desperate young man born and raised in the catacombs under the Paris Opera House. “If you say the word ‘Phantom,’ most people think immediately of the Andrew Lloyd Webber hit,” stated director Mace Archer. “But there is a different Phantom. There’s magic, dreams and a fascinating story of a friendly giant, played gently and kindly by Dwayne Hartford, who befriends an orphan girl Sophie, played delightfully by Debra Stevens. These two take us on a magical mystery adventure into the land of dreams and giants, who can run wild and scare even the most courageous of humans. Director David Saar’s imagination is perfect for the Roald Dahl book adapted by David Wood for the stage. PENN AND TELLER at Mesa Arts Center May 7th was a spellbinding show to cap off a great year in Mesa. These two entertainers captured the capacity crowd with the mystery of magic and slight of hand. BEARFOOT AND SOLAS were outstanding at the Scottsdale Center for the Arts final show of the season May 8th. The first big screen version of Robin Hood was simply titled “Robin Hood” starring Douglas Fairbanks, with what was considered at the time, a ‘block buster’ budget of around 1.5 million in 1922!

Review and interview by Stan Robinson I call those films that start by drifting in on a particular character, follow them for a while, and along the way we get an insight, motivation, sometimes joy or sadness, and, slowly drifting out again, leaving us sometimes with unanswered questions, food for thought, and most importantly, revelations or reflections of our own lives. In “Multiple Sarcasms”, we drift into the life of Gabriel (Timothy Hutton). His life, from the outside, seems to be going the way we all want our lives to AZWeeklyMagazine.com
Those friends include his best friend Cari (Mira Sorvino), and yes it is a plutonic relationship that a lot of us men have with female friends, there’s Rocky (Mario Van Peebles) a long time gay friend and no, there’s no relationship, and Pamela (Stockard Channing) the long time literary agent friend who takes on representing Gabriel when he decides a change of direction is needed in his life. The change; he leaves his job to write a play, about his life! The element that makes “Multiple Sarcasms” a ‘slice of life’ for us as viewers is that writer/director Brooks Branch sets the story in 1979, in our past, as well as his, which prompts us to those same examinations of our lives. It’s always a rewarding element to have the opportunity to talk with the filmmaker! Stan: How long did it take to bring “Multiple Sarcasms” to the big
screen, we both know it’s not an ‘overnight success process’… Brooks: I wrote the script over a decade ago I have to say. It sat for a while, and then I came back to it about three years ago or so. The climate had changed, and I think I had more maturity in my own life and looked at it differently, rewrote it with a better understanding of what to do with it at that point! Stan: That’s a key aspect we learned in film school, write your draft, sleep on it, come back to it, and that sleep could be a day, a month, or a year! Brooks: So true, it’s all part of the process! Christopher Egan Takes a Trip to Find Letters to Juliet By Randy Montgomery
“He’s so cute,” squeals a young group of teenage girls at the advance screening of the new romantic comedy Letters to Juliet. The girls were talking about the male lead Charlie, played by Christopher Egan. The Australian-born actor has an impressive list of credits from the small and big screen and should be recognizable through his roles in Eragon and Resident Evil: Extinction. In Letters to Juliet, Sophie, an American tourist (Amanda Seyfried) in Verona, Italy finds a letter under the famed Juliet balcony written in 1951. She tracks down Claire, the author (Vanessa Redgrave) and persuades her to return to Italy to find a once true love that she was separated from decades ago. Claire is being accompanied by Charlie; her grandson who is not fond of the idea of his grandmother traveling across Italy on a wild goose chase to find someone who she hasn’t seen in years. Of course Sophie and Charlie butt heads at the begin-
ning and it seems as if the two will never get along. When asked about his quote, unquote “cute” status, Egan replied, “Looking at Charlie, I never thought of him as a heartthrob since he is so unpleasant at the beginning. It’s only through a course of events that makes him open up and become a nice guy. But, it’s a pleasant feeling.” A lost love is certainly something most moviegoers can relate to, and Egan is no different himself. “I had this three month affair in Australia just before I came to L.A. for the first time when I was 18. It was so fast and lasted for three months. It was so amazing and so beautiful. I know I broke her hear because I knew I had to leave and move overseas. It took me a couple of years to get over it. I have this memory of the three month relationship. I do not regret my decision, but looking back, I may have acted differently.”

Sophie’s first stop is Casa di Giulietta, the famed home to Juliet in Shakespeare legendary story Romeo and Juliet. Whether the lovers really existed and if this tourist attraction was truly the home to Juliet is up for debate, but romantics at heart make it a must-see stop. Many have left letters to loved ones in the bricks that make up the courtyard. Sophie discovers a letter on her visit that touches her heart. The letter is over 50 years old and tells of a love lost. Find Letters to Juliet While Traveling Italy’s Countryside By Randy Montgomery

“What if you had a second chance to find true love?” That’s the question posed by Summit Entertainment’s romantic comedy Letters to Juliet. Sophie (Amanda Seyfried) accompanies May 13th, 2010 - May 19th, 2010
her love interest Victor (Gael Garcia Bernal) to Italy on a trip which she hopes to be a romantic, but turns out to be otherwise. Victor is preoccupied with opening his first restaurant in New York, and pays little attention to her. He is focused on finding quality food and wines to bring back with him. Sophie tracks down Claire (Vanessa Redgrave), the author and persuades her to return to Verona to search for the one that made her so happy. Claire is nervous, yet excited to go on a mission to find the one that got away. Apprehension comes in the form of Claire’s grandson Charlie (Christopher Egan), who thinks the idea is ridiculous. Despite his nay saying, the trio head out and explore the countryside looking for the “famed”
“But I watched and learned from her. It was so natural. We worked off of each other.” As Charlie, Sophie and Claire search for the long lost love, the viewer goes along for the ride across the Italian countryside. Egan invites you to “Go on the journey with us. You get the feeling you are sitting in the back seat of the car. The film draws you in and makes you feel like you were there.”
Lorenzo. Sophie and Charlie butt heads at first, but anyone that has seen similar films can see where this is heading. The plot is predictable and this is standard issue multiplex fare, but the characters are likable and watching them explore Verona, Sienna and the Tuscan countryside is worth the price of admission alone. You fall in love with Redgrave and hope she finds Lorenzo. This PG-rated comedy is squeaky clean and says that you can make a funny and enjoyable comedy without it being crude and offensive. The movie is extremely likable which makes you forget about its shortcomings; such as how Sophie is actually unsupportive of Victor’s entrepreneurial endeavor and how while he’s preparing to open his first restaurant, she is out gallivanting across Italy with another guy. Not an award contender by any means, but deserves a solid grade of “B.”
“Robin Hood”, myth & legend vs. reality By Stan Robinson Most know the name ‘Robin Hood’ and the association of being a champion of the less fortunate with the common phrase ‘robbing from the rich and giving to the poor’. And as with folklore, it’s grounded in reality with either events and/or persons, from a time well in the past, and handed down through the ages in the spoken word and eventually in print as the legends made their way into our modern world. Tales of these legends have been used throughout the centuries to motivate movements and ideologies into action to champion various causes to effect change or stimulate recognition. There have been various movies and television shows about Robin Hood, with folklore dating back some 800 years! Some serious, some with comedic overtones, while others took a satire approach. My first recollection of Robin Hood, and the one that has stayed with me since childhood in the 60’s, is the television series starring Richard Greene. As the series presented Robin Hood and his followers from week to week over a number of years, various aspects of the central theme of the common
This latest presentation of “Robin Hood” has the Oscar winning collaboration of producer/director Ridley Scott and actor Russell Crowe, who brought to the screen ‘Gladiator’ (2000) which captured the essence of the time as it presented the social and ruling influences that determined the lives of society at the time. It focuses on the period around 1200 in England, and the circumstances which eventually led to the rise of the populace and the signing into practice by King John on June 15th, 1215, the document that is said to have put into motion, the rights that modern democracy is based, “The Magna Carta”. With Ridley Scott at the helm, who’s an excellent cinematic storyteller whether it’s science fiction in the realm of his 1979 classic “Alien”, contemporary stories like “Blackhawk Down” (2001) and “American Gangster” (2007), or historical presentations, the moviegoer will certainly have the experience of being transported back in time and place that we have dreamed and only read about…

FOOD" COMES TO CHOMPIE'S Host Adam Richman takes on Chompie’s “Ultimate Slider Challenge” When Chompie’s first unveiled the “Ultimate Slider Challenge” this winter, they had no idea the dish would bring them national media attention. But soon after putting the platter on the menu, Chompie’s, Arizona’s New York Deli, got a call from the producers of Man v. Food, a popular show on The Travel Channel. Adam Richman, the affable host of Man v. Food, wanted to take on the Chompie’s Ultimate Slider Challenge, which consists of eating twelve “Jewish Sliders” (mini-challah rolls filled with lean beef brisket, jack cheese and a potato pancake) and a mountain of onion strings in thirty minutes or less. In a visit shrouded in secrecy, Richman came to Chompie’s Tempe location in mid-March to see if he could eat the five-pound meal. Nobody is saying how Richman fared, as the results will be revealed on the show when it airs during the new season of Man v. Food sometime between mid-June and mid-July. Neal

Phoenix Suns Steve Nash and Amare Stoudemire have been named to the AllNBA Second Team. Nash earned his seventh career All-NBA Team selection and his second ‘Second Team’ honor (2008), for recording the greatest statistical season for a point guard over the age of 35 in NBA history. Nash averaged 16.5 points and became the oldest player in league history to lead the league in assists by averaging an NBA-best 11.0 assists. It was the fourth time in the last six seasons since returning to Phoenix that Nash has led the NBA in assists. The two-time NBA
MVP was also named an All-NBA First Team selection three times, all with Phoenix (2005, 2006, 2007) and a Third Team selection in 2002 and 2003 with Dallas.

Silva, a former Pride Fighting Championships star, will take on the ethnic Korean fighter in a bout that will draw added interest from Japanese MMA fans. The uninhibited Brazilian striker earned a unanimous decision victory over “The Ultimate Fighter” winner Mike Bisping at UFC 110 last February in Sydney, Australia. The 34-year-old Akiyama earned a split decision against Alan Belcher in his Octagon debut at UFC 100 last July. A former K-1 Hero’s light heavyweight champion, Akiyama has only been defeated once against K-1 heavyweight Jerome LeBanner in 2005.
Stoudemire earns the fourth All-NBA Team selection of his eight-year career, Second Team honors for the third time in his career (2005, 2008), for a season in which he averaged a team-high 23.1 points, his most since 200708, and a team-best 8.9 rebounds. Stoudemire was one of only two NBA players to average at least 22 points and eight boards (Chris Bosh) this season. The 2010 All-Star starter averaged 26.6 points after the All-Star break, fourth-most in the NBA overall. Stoudemire was named to the First Team in 2007.

BEER! American Craft Beer Week The “Mother of all Beer Weeks”…that’s the way they describe American Craft Beer Week (ACBW). A whole week devoted to the magnificence that is craft beer. Craft brewers, retailers, home brewers, distributors, beer lovers and even the United States Congress have been busily making plans to celebrate this week, which runs from May 17th to May 23rd. Last year hundred of events were held nation-

ally to recognize craft beer and its tremendous impact on the American beer drinker. This year promises to be more of the same. Already hundreds of events are posted on the official web site for the week (www.americancraftbeerweek.org) and over 16,000 fans are following the Facebook page created for the week. The week is designed to be a celebration of small and independent brewers with a focus on featuring why American Craft Beer is some of the best beer in the world. The events are an opportunity to share with the consumer and invite them to join in the celebration. Con-

ducted in a similar fashion to local Beer Weeks made popular in cities like San Francisco and Philadelphia, and which have now spread throughout the nation, expect ACBW to provide plenty of fun and opportunity to drink good beer. In Arizona, events are still being planned as we go to press, but we already know that Papago Brewing will be featuring one of the newest entrants in to the market on May 20th. Crispin Ciders will be featured from 6 PM to 8 PM that night. Look especially for The Saint and Honey Crisp from the Artisanal Reserve Series. On Friday night May 21st, the Hard Rock in downtown Phoenix will be opening their Sun Up Patio. Sun Up Brewer Uwe Boer will be on hand from 4:30 to 7 PM that evening as the Hard Rock opens its patio. Before every home baseball game
look for Sun Up Light Rail Cream Ale and Armadillo Red featured on the patio. We mentioned earlier that Congress was involved in ACBW as well. How so? Glad you asked. House Resolution 1297 adopted on April 22nd recognizes and supports the goals of American Craft Beer Week. Considering the final paragraph of the resolution encourages beer lovers to attend events and celebrate American Craft Beer Week, it seems as if we all have a Congressional mandate to attend these events and enjoy craft beer. As Stephen Colbert said on his television show, “This isn’t one of those fake holidays…No, this is officially sanctioned by congress, as of 2006, which in my book makes it the equal to the separation of church and state.” With 62 co-sponsors from across the country and from both sides

of the aisle, this resolution is a true act of bi-partisanship and something that each and every member of Congress should be proud of. So complain all you want about health care, and taxes and other hot button topics, but they got this one right. Enough about American Craft Beer Week, what we really need here is Arizona Beer Week. That’s right, a week dedicated to the wonderful beers brewed and available in the state. Imagine a week bookended by two major events and a whole bunch of little things in between. Beer Dinners, Pint Nights, Promotions, Festivals, Beer Education and more…it makes our heart go pitter patter and brings a little
tear to our eye just to think about it. Well rumor has it that the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild and a few others are starting to kick this idea around, and maybe 2011 will bring us our first Arizona Beer Week. That would be one of the next big steps for craft beer in the state. After all if Minnesota and Charlotte and even Cleveland can have a beer week, why can’t we? For now, we have ACBW, so get out that week, stop by your local watering hole and enjoy some good craft beer. Hit the local breweries and thank them for what they do to support great beer in our state. Attend the events that are going on. In general, take a week to celebrate great American Craft Beer. You’ll be glad you did.

Reverse Happy Hour A Texan walks into a pub in Ireland and clears his voice to the crowd of drinkers. He says, “I hear you Irish are a bunch of hard drinkers. I’ll give $500 American dollars to anybody in here who can drink 10 pints of Guinness back-toback.” The room is quiet as one man leaves the room. Nobody else takes the Texan up on his offer. 15 minutes later the same man who left shows back up and taps the Texan on the shoulder. “Is your bet still good?” asks the Irishman. The Texan says “Yup” and asks the bartender to line up 10 pints of Guinness. Immediately the Irishman tears into all 10 of the pint glasses, drinking them all back-to-back. The other pub patrons cheer as the Texan sits in amazement. School is dwindling down and it’s the first time that I’m finding this out from others and not from my planner. Where has the time gone? Sigh. Whoa sorry, mild nostalgia. On a more appropriate note, this means you finally have time to party with your friends or make date night more than just a “blockbuster night.” Downtown Phoenix Spring Fling Pub Crawl Saturday May 15th There’s nothing like a good pub-crawl to celebrate the end of the school year. And by all means you deserve a good celebration. After all, all that partying throughout the semester can get exhausting. But who wants to spend their night in one place when the possibilities are endless and come with a Trolley? About 15 bars have joined forces to make your merriment unforgettable. Drink specials, food samples and an accumulating bead collection will be handed out from bar to bar. And don’t think the night ends at 2am! The pub-crawl cares about you and is there to offer a special after hours breakfast menu running from 1:30am to 3:30am at Steve’s Green House Grille because we all know you are special. Trolley service is there till 3:30am to move you and your hotmess of a crew to that one place you are sure you parked at. Thursday Flamenco at Montelucia Resort and Spa. We have all heard of the Montelucia Resort and Spa. It’s grand, it’s beautiful, it’s one of the few resorts I would say is worthy enough to “get away to” even if you’re a native. And as I have recently discovered, it has Flamenco dancing. They have a fabulous lounge called the Mbar. Arched pale gold ceilings, giant plush high-back couches themed in burgundy and wine, candles, rich paintings, the whole 9 yards. Thursday nights turn a bit exotic when the Flamenco starts accompanied by the live guitar of Gaetano. There’s just something about a Spanish guitar being played, it seeps into your soul somehow, lets you leave your own mind for a bit. Then come the dancers, pirouetting skirts accentuate the music bringing an essence of temptation and excitement. Son “Busted” by Mother for Undergarment Narcotic Poaching MEMPHIS - A Memphis woman had her son arrested after she found him stealing Xanax from her bra. The mother, whose name police didn’t release, told law enforcement officials she awakened to find her 28-yearold son filching Xanax from her bra, where she kept it (Don’t you keep your Xanax there?). The police report says the man had amassed 22 Xanax pills, 15 of them wrapped in toilet paper and hidden in his sock, (no doubt in keeping with the family tradition of hiding downers in undergarments!). A search of her son’s room turned up various drug paraphernalia. And to make sure that this type of heinous “breast feeding” never happens again in Memphis, his bond was set at $40,000.
At first glance you feel sorry for the chef, who no doubt has the worst friends in the world! But our heart goes out to Mr. eel, who certainly never asked for this. Bad enough, your life culminates as a piece of low-rent dinner fare, but imagine the shame of becoming a living suppository and the “butt” of a really cruel joke! Upon second thought, we didn’t buy this one, so in an act of responsible journalism, we tried to recreate the crime ourselves. Our conclusion is that even with the most drunken Chinese chef (which cost us plenty!), and the most even-tempered 20-inch eel, this just ain’t happenin’. Whew!
Man Dies From Involuntary Sushi insertion A Chinese chef has perished after a live eel was shoved up his rear as a prank by his “friends” when he passed out drunk. Naked Man Arrested for Excessive Billboard Exposure FORT WORTH - In an act that can only be challenged under the most naked interpretation of the first amendment, a man in his early 20s, paced and crawled nude for 4 hours across the top a Fort Worth billboard. The man (who obviously believes in getting maximum exposure for his advertising dollar), finally surrendered to police and was promptly given a brand new pair of shorts just like the ones they wear in jail. And what was the technique they used to convince him to give up his full-frontal ad campaign? Some brilliant person went to the weather channel and found out that rain was coming and told him he’d better get down (We swear we’re not making this up!).
AZW Comments: We smell a rat here. Just take a look at the message on the billboard! We think it’s a drug company & tourism-inspired publicity stunt to prove that everything is bigger in the Lone Star State. But just on the off-chance that a museum exhibit could possibly encourage a dude to flash his man-dragon 40 feet in the air, we’re buying tickets tomorrow! This could be really good!

LARGO, Florida. - 73-year-old Theresa Collier never thumped anything bigger than a bible before she slapped her 18-year-old granddaughter Felicia for repeatedly using the “Fword” as she refused to finish her homework. Sensing the ultimate opportunity for a Jerry Springer show appearance, Felicia answered by punching Grandma in the face and then promptly reported the slapping granny by calling the cops. In a piece of detective sleuthery heretofore never witnessed in the metropolis of Largo, the police slapped the cuffs on grandma and said “You’re under arrest”. Yes, innocent little Felicia was legal and 18 and in Largo, that’s domestic battery. Up to this point, granny’s only idea of a domestic battery was in her hearing aid, but now she faces real problems and even though sweet Felicia has decided not to press charges, the police refuse to drop theirs and it is now in the court prosecutor’s hands! AZW Comments: We think little Felicia has screwed the pooch pretty good on this one. First, no more cookies at grandma’s house and second…No more grandma! In our experience, misunderstandings like this usually cause a rift within the family unit and we think repercussions are inevitable. Secondarily, we are steering clear of Largo Florida. Any state where you can slug grandma and get her arrested for domestic battery is the kind of in-bred, banjo-playin’ environment Burt Reynolds makes movies about and we are simply not going to visit.
The alleged incident arose from an argument at a party, where the man (who is wisely not releasing his name), communicated that he felt her weight exceeded acceptable limits. Perhaps using poor judgement, the woman felt that the best way to discredit her accuser was to tackle the man and take a bite out of his ear…Tyson style (an odd response for someone accused of over-eating!). Despite best efforts, the missing ear chunk has not been found. The woman was arrested on suspicion of felony assault pending a “hearing”. Her defense of “insanity due to a low-carb diet” is not expected to be much help.
AZW Comments: Millions of years of evolution and men still have not learned the proper response to a woman about anything involving the word “FAT”. In fact, new research indicates there is no way to use the word “fat” in a sentence near a woman without risking extreme bodily harm. Unless of course it’s in Largo Florida (see previous story), and that woman is your grandma, in which case you can just punch her for bringing it up, send her to jail, and eat the cookies that made her fat in the first place.

McDowell Mountain Music Fest 2010 After 6 years at the WestWorld location, the McDowell Mountain Music Festival was moved to the parking lot adjacent to The Compound Grill. Since this is a “not for profit” agency, our struggling economy necessitated this change. Initially, it may seem a step down, but after laying down over an acre of sod on top of the asphalt, the area was transformed into an intimate venue for some ROCKIN’ fun! This year’s impressive lineup included more than 20 bands over the 3 day event. Assembly Of Dust, Steve Kimock’s Crazy Engine, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, John Brown’s Body, Robert Randolph and the Family Band, Tambourine Shorty and Orleans Avenue are just a few of the talented bands and musicians who performed. Some of the acts were held after-hours inside The Compund Grill which contributed to the intimacy of their performances. Great Craft Beer and incredible food were readily available to the concertgoers.

The event appeared to be wellattended and, according to those we spoke with, the party-goers seemed to enjoy themselves immensely. There were some, though, who missed the on-site camping which was available in previous years. Combining ambiance, great food, music and a wonderful vibe, the people involved with the The Compound Grill really know how to put on a live-music event!

The Bay City Rollers inspired a generation of female teenagers to change their dress habits. Clad in tartan uniforms, they eventually inspired a genuine outbreak of teenage frenzy reminiscent of Beatlemania. Rollermania spread from the U.K. to the U.S. in early 1976 with the group’s first stateside concerts and the 1975 #1 single, “Saturday Night.” - the group had two other top 10 singles and an additional five that made the U.S. top 60. The group was even more successful in the United Kingdom, with a pair of No. 1 singles and 11 that reached the top 10. “You couldn’t understand it the hysteria among the fans” Mitchell said. “It was just total madness, total insanity. You’ve never seen anything like it.
It was literally impossible for us to walk down the street. Thirtytwo years later, appearances are dramatically different. “It’s a lot more relaxed,” Mitchell said. “It’s not so frantic. I’ve got nothing to prove to anybody. We’re playing the hits and they like to hear them.” Mitchell’s Rollers are a six-piece band - two guitars (including Mitchell), a bass, keyboards, drums, a singer “It’s very good,” said Mitchell, who continues to tour in the United States, Canada, Japan and Australia. “There are a lot of fans in their 40’s who never got a chance to see the Rollers. So it’s all just good fun. We’ll get some of them up on stage at the end to sing ‘Saturday Night.’ It is nostalgia, but it’s fun. the building which is now Spur Cross Gallery used to be Long Branch Liquor & Saloon, and there was a boxing ring behind it? When people in town had a dispute, they would go “duke it out” at the boxing ring.

submitted by Larry Wendt, Owner, The Buffalo Chip Saloon & Honky Tonk) ….The Buffalo Chip was originally Steffen’s Beer n’ Bait Shop. The Steffens sold fishing bait and had water dog tanks out back that people heading out to Bartlett Lake would purchase for their day “out on the lake”. Then in the 1970’s a gentleman named Skip purchased the building and turned it into a saloon. Max McGee, who played for the Green Bay Packers, purchased the building in 1985. The current owner, Larry Wendt, purchased the building in 1998 and now features live music and dancing 7 nights a week, as well as live bull riding on Friday nights.
