B.fresh is the vision of Philip Maddocks, a third generation farmer from Shropshire. Philip designed and built an innovative new Juicery on his farm, where he and his team now produce a collection of premium Cold Pressed Pure Juices, using fresh vegetables and fruit. All of the B.fresh green juices are free from any additives or stabilisers and do not add sugar. The juices are cold pressed and then High Pressure Processed (HPP) to kill harmful bacteria and preserve maximum nutrition and taste. Philip is the first British grower and producer of Cold Press High Pressure Processed Pure Juice.

All of the produce arrives from the fields into our Shropshire Juicery as vegetables and fruit, not as purees or concentrates. Only fresh produce is used. The produce is washed in our natural spring water from the farm before being chopped ready to go through the press. This is a series of press rollers which gives us fabulously smooth and pulp free juice without using any heat. The juices are then mixed to our own delicious recipes. The importance of not using heat, is to retain the highest level of nutrients, vitamins and minerals as possible. We want to produce the closest thing to a raw juice as we can - safely.

We ensure the cold press, bottled juice remains bursting with nutrients by using a method called High Pressure Processing (HPP). We never pasteurise. HPP is a non-thermal food processing technology that allows juices made with vegetables and fruit to obtain a longer shelf life. The technology is softer than a conventional thermal treatment like pasteurisation, as it does not modify the sensorial quality (taste) and the nutritional quality is preserved. Most importantly, HPP inactivates vegetative microorganisms like bacteria, yeasts and moulds, so that we can be sure the juice is safe. We guarantee a minimum of 25 days shelf life on receipt of delivery.

The cold process we use ensures we retain higher levels of the naturally occurring vitamins and nutrients than using traditional pasteurisation methods. HPP juice retains 85% of its Vitamin C when stored at 4ยบC for 20 weeks compared to heat pasteurised juice which only retains 40% Vitamin C* A Mintel report revealed that 38% of people felt that if a drink contained vegetables it would be better for them. Low in natural sugar and calories. No additives or stabilisers. Our juice is what it says it is Pure. A juice that consumers can trust.

It is therefore our brand responsibility to build consumer awareness and understanding of the health benefits along with the pure taste enjoyment of these delicious juices versus other juices already in the market. We have a national PR and Social Media campaign in action to educate consumers and give them the opportunity to taste our juices and so bring that brand awareness to the fore.
