LEVI’S IN THE FAST LANE

Levi Ashworth started the Level 3 Travel and Tourism Fast Track to Degree course in January 2018 and just six months later had the qualification he needed to start a degree course. Now in the first year of B&FC’s Tourism Management Foundation Degree, Levi is excited about the future (he’s keen to start a career in zoo management).

“ I’d definitely recommend it,” says Levi. “It’s quite fast paced because you’re covering 2 years’ work in just 6 months but everyone’s so supportive. It helped me realise my potential and that if I work to my ability and push myself I can really achieve things.”

Why not talk to us to find out more?

A member of our team could then get in touch with your employer to explain how it works (and how it would benefit them too).

FLYING HIGH WITH A HIGHER APPRENTICESHIP

Adam Monk recently completed the Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship in Project Management and is now Strategic Policy, Planning and Programme Officer for Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service. The course can take up to 3 years to complete but Adam qualified in just 18 months. He attributes his success to ‘good time management’ as well as high levels of support from his employer and College tutor.

“ I worked full-time, attending College for a full day every other month. All of the content was so relevant - l particularly enjoyed learning something new and applying that to my job role. I’m now looking forward to building my career further.”

“JUST TAKE THAT FIRST STEP” For Network Engineering student Steve Gleaves, studying just two days a week meant he could carry on working and still have time for family and other commitments. He graduated in July 2018 with a first class honours degree and is now CPE Engineer at Daisy Communications Ltd.

“ The tutors were so encouraging - I couldn’t have done it without them,” Steve says. “It can be daunting at first, but you’ve just got to take that first step. The College is also a CISCO Academy, which meant I was able to get CISCO certified - it opens doors for you.”
