Initial Ideas I went through many initial ideas for this brief. I felt very inspired by previous work which had been done for the ‘Feel Good’ company. My first thoughts when designing were the obvious ones; a simple booklet attached around the neck of the bottle, card holding information about the product etc. I then went onto the idea of using the fruit in a literal sense. I began thinking how fruit could be used in a humorous way, such as sports. This was then our main idea. To incorporate fruit into sporting events.
Development I created questionnaires for people to fill out. I managed to get over 40 people to complete, from which we got a lot of helpful feedback. Although we already knew what path to take, the questionnaire gave us ideas within our design path, and inspired more ideas.
Design Development /// Layouts One of the main events would be the space hopper. We would have incorporated fruit into this event by printing on the hopper, to make it look like an orange, or blueberry etc. I took many photographs of a space hopper in use. I found it tricky capturing perfect shots as I had a specific composition planned. I did however get some good photographs. One of the many first shots I took was taken further and designed upon to be one of the final outcomes. Another event myself and my partner agreed on was the pogo stick, however this was only a proposed idea. I created a few layouts to see what kind of composition would work best.
Logo Development I decided to re-design the ‘Feel Good’ logo. I found existing images of people ‘‘feeling good’’. Most of the images I found were of people having a great time whilst doing sports; perfect for what I was aiming to achieve within the logo.
Typography I looked at existing typography, and found a varitey which had a fun and fresh feel to it. I used Illustrator to trace then alter them to fit the feel of our work. I had to create some letters from scratch. These would be potential typefaces to be used on our posters.
