Mission Statement Baila Salsa is a dance company that brings culture, style, and excitement through Latin Dance. The instructors are well experienced and provide a friendly environment to learn while building a sense of confidence in their dancers.
Branding Strategy Baila Salsa will be recognized by it’s clean yet vibrant design with an edgy logo. The colors, the logo, and the silhouettes will give off a bold yet fun vibe, and this theme will be consistant across the promotional pieces.

Logo Specifications The logo has been designed to have an edgy and sexy feel to represent the energy of the company. The logo requires space around it in order to feel the energy it gives off, being placed in a cluttered design may cause it to battle with the othr pieces that surround it. The grayscale version should maintain a unified shade.

Logo Usage The logo should not be distorted in any way. The only parts of the logo that should have color are the tagline, and the secondary portion of the Baila Salsa Text, The music note motif should never be in color, nor should the tagline ever line up with the company name.

Tagline, Motifs and Symbols The tagline for Baila Salsa is “Rhythm With Spice”. It will be used in the logo and will also stand alone in the company’s advertisements, apparel, website, and application. The motifs are parts of the logo that will be used to symbolize the company without use of the full logo The symbols will mainly be used in places where contact information is displayed.

Color The primary colors for Baila Salsa are an olive like green, and a mustar yellow. The secondary colors are gray, black, and a spicy red. Typically Salsa groups are known for their red and black look, but Baila Salsa uses it’s own unique color pallete to give the vibrant energy of the dance form.

Calvin and Fanny have been dancing and teaching salsa together since 2008. They frequently attend salsa congresses and festivals where they participate in workshops and share the dance floor with some of the biggest names in the world of salsa. They have worked with five-time World Salsa Champion Oliver Pineda of Australia, Salsa On2 pioneer Eddie Torres of New York, Griselle Ponce of New Jersey, The Cobo Brothers of North Carolina and many more. FANNY OLAYA was born and raised in Lima, Peru where she grew up listening and dancing to the sounds of salsa, merengue, cumbia, cha cha cha, Afro-Peruvian and other latin styles. These sounds were a part of Fanny’s everyday life from a very early age and have created in her an undying passion for music and dance. CALVIN RICE was born in Buffalo, NY and holds a Bachelors degree in music performance and education from Ithaca College. He is an active musician, dancer and teacher who loves to share his knowledge and talent with others. Classes with Baila Salsa are a mix of footwork (shines) and partnerwork (turn patterns), with emphasis on the techniques of leading and following for the social dancer. Students will also begin to gain an understanding of musicality and latin body motion. No partner necessary.
