A level Subjects

From September 2017 students in the Sixth Form will take three A levels from the list below (four if opting for Further Maths). Further extended projects and enrichment opportunities will be offered alongside A levels to best prepare our students for the future.
Studying: Chemistry, Biology, History, Maths and Further Maths. o-curricular activities: School hockey team, flute choir, Hindu C and Sikh societies. Fun fact: I had a pet spider for two months called Frankie! Plans after Bablake:To go to university and study Medicine. What made you choose to study your A levels at Bablake Sixth Form? I have been studying at Bablake since Shells (Year 7). It’s a very friendly school, providing the highest standard of teaching; all of the teachers do everything they can to help you achieve your goals.The Sixth Form offers such an incredible range of opportunities, both in academic subjects and cocurricular activities, it is the place where I am happiest. How would you describe Bablake Sixth Form to a student new to the school? The Sixth Form offers an extensive range of subject choices, the teaching is structured and in-depth and we are provided with excellent resources to
support our independent work.The teachers are very friendly and always approachable. Most importantly, you are surrounded by like-minded people and everyone is friendly and welcoming. An added bonus is that we have our own Sixth Form canteen! What makes you proud to be a Bablake student? All the students and teachers here are so kind – we all really care about helping one another and I’m proud to be part of the Bablake community. It makes the school the place that it is; a place where you want to learn and achieve your goals. It is here that I have made lifelong friends and had amazing experiences, creating wonderful memories.

What made you choose to study your A levels at Bablake Sixth Form?
Five GCSE passes at Grade B (or equivalent) with a Grade A in the subject to be studied at A level.*

Option blocks:
Joining a new school is always hard, however, Bablake does everything to help you fit in. It is important to be yourself and within a week you’ll find you’ve settled in to the Bablake way of life.Your fellow students will be extremely friendly and helpful, so just relax and enjoy the two years you are here as they will pass so quickly!
What makes you proud to be a Bablake student? To study at one of the oldest schools in the country has pushed me to achieve. I’m proud to be part of the Bablake community where everyone wants to work hard and succeed.
