The Babson formula for future success
Foundations of Management and Entrepreneurship (FME)
We think the best way to learn business is to actually do business. You start your Babson journey with our awardwinning, first-year course FME where you’ll develop, launch, and manage a new venture with a team of your peers and dedicated faculty. From ordering inventory to running a brand’s TikTok account to designing packaging and managing a team, you will learn (and do!) everything that makes a business run.
Socio-Ecological Systems (SES)
Our students don’t just identify problems, they solve them—it’s a hallmark of what we teach. You explore how to solve the world’s biggest problems through systems thinking in SES, which is co-taught by two liberal arts and sciences professors. You engage in sustainable problem-solving solutions for some of the world’s biggest problems, such as food insecurity, climate change, and water scarcity. Throughout, you gain the context to ignite your ambitions and grow into an entrepreneurial leader, ready to tackle the global problems of tomorrow.
Advanced Experiential
Your Babson journey culminates with a course that brings you out of the classroom and into the real world. In the course of your choice, you collaborate with an external organization to identify, analyze, and develop ideas for growth. It’s a chance to put your critical thinking and communication skills to the test in an actual consulting role. You will gain leadership and problem-solving experience, learn from professors in the field, and tackle actual business concerns to prepare you for wherever your career takes you.
Today’s Learners. Tomorrow’s Leaders.
Because you take courses across the liberal arts and sciences alongside your business classes, you have the communication skills, leadership, teamwork, and critical-thinking abilities to give you a leg up on the competition. That’s our recipe for success.
