APPLICATION DEFINITION STATEMENT My Moodboard App
Mood Board Features

App that works on iPhone and iPad-
Helps user create mood boards in a time efficient matter, allowing use of photos on camera as well as an in-app camera feature. Produced by FontShop- shows their fonts for text (profit based).
Prefers a speedy app that can design a quick and easy mood board to send to clients (fast, but still appearing professional)
On the go- prefers to snapshot their own images for ideas for textures, colors, fonts, etc.
Snap margins (smart lock grid, no overlapping) Pinch to zoom/alter size within opening
Font picker (font shop provided fonts) color choice type preview (automatic keyboard)

Primary Tasks
Can be Portrait Mode or Landscape Mode until creating moodboard, then it will become locked landscape to utilize space and ideal for usability.
Start New Mood Boards
Edit/Share (via google plus, tumblr, twitter, or facebook) Previous Mood Boards
iPhone/iPad compatible.
Additional Features
In Saved Boards, delete by holding on thumbnail of board for 2 seconds. An “X” will appear, click to delete.
Tap Logo at upper corner at anytime to access the My Mood Board Main interface (home page)
Upload Pictures (from camera roll/image library) or In-App Camera to capture things that inspire the user.
Access easy, clear, and simplified tutorial/ how-to-guide at any time by going back to the main interface.
Required Page Elements
In tutorial, see hand swiping motions/ gestures to access secondary features. Also in tutorial, see example moodboards and tips to building an excellent moodboard.
Adjust the margins of your mood board.
Adjust the color, size, and typeface of your text that can be input via automatic pop-up keyboard.
Logo will be required on upper corner of every page in order to access the main interface at any time.
Smaller and simple icons to complete simple functions such as “save”, “undo”, or “clear” mood board.

Jessica Albeton, 31, Stay-at-Home Mom Background: Attending community college and got a degree in Health Education. Worked as a school nurse until she became pregnant. Decided to quit to focus on her family. Busy, runs the house day to day. Married, 2 year old son. Leisure Activity: Playing in the park with her son and do it yourself projects. Characteristics: Frugal, interested in revamping things rather than buying new. Loves to look at pinterest and get ideas for projects, but would like to have something a bit more personally editable. Doesn’t want to spend a lot of time gathering her inspiration, but still wants it to be organized for when she goes shopping. Technical Tools: Social network savvy (instagram, twitter, facebook) but not comfortable with adobe suite. Has used photoshop before, back in high school. Ability Access: Uses her iphone for everything. Would love to be able to save ideas while she is on the go. What Jessica Uses the App for: Takes photos and create boards with ideas for future projects. Currently working on a board for her redecoration of her sons room, with color and texture swatches, playful furniture pictures, and fonts ideas so she can paint her sons name and inspirational words on the walls.

Bryan Greene, 56, Creative Professional Background: Attended 4-year university. Graduated with Bachelors in Design, as well as an undergrad degree in business. Married. Leisure Activity: Takes weekends off to spend time on the golf course. Enjoys taking vacations with his wife to tropical locations. Characteristics: Works a 9-5 as a Creative Art Director. Very committed to his business, and always has been. Interested in quick fixes and new ideals, would like his employees send them to him. Very hands on, instead of responding to an option by asking to see a change, he likes to show the change he wants. Technical Tools: Uses iphone and ipad. Fluent with Adobe Suite, but sometimes he doesn’t have time to access these while on the go. Ability Access: Uses iPad in meetings and personal iphone on the go. What Bryan Uses the App for: Edit boards from employees to show QUICK changes without the need of a computer at hand. Easily can change ideas to show clients and can edit to perfect their needs.

Leslie Harrison, 27, Event Coordinator Background: Went to school for her AA degree in Interior Design. Enjoyed working with her real estate friends to set up walk through homes. Helped her best friend plan her wedding and fell in love the event coordination side of it. Changed jobs and became insanely successful, and she is also single. She is best known for her work coordinating and planning weddings. Leisure Activity: Enjoys going out with her girlfriends on the weekends. Loves shopping for ANYTHING, and always snaps pictures of inspiring flowers, prints and fabrics while she’s out. Characteristics: Takes picture of everything. Technical Tools: On ipad or iphone Takes notes as well as saves clients proposed images. Can use indesign to create lovely moodboards, but hopes for something quicker. Ability Access: Uses iPad for most of her bride meetings. What Leslie Uses the App for: Makes suggestions and quick changes to existing moodboards during client meetings to ensure happiness with plans. Can share boards after meetings and accept boards from her clients. Loves the ability to use her own images in the moodboard. Also, her brides love how they can share ideas together and pull it all together to see how it looks before spending a lot of time and money shopping.
