MINI | Thank you for inviting us into your home! Tell us about the place!

HANNAH SHARGAL | We love our home. Its neutral, minimal, bright and most importantly it’s cozy.

MINI | Do you have a favorite room in your home? Tell us why you love it.

HANNAH SHARGAL | The living room! It gets the most amazing natural light, has beautiful high ceilings, and the coziest wood-burning fireplace.

MINI | What are some of your favorite elements in your home? Where did they come from?

HANNAH SHARGAL | We love the breakfast nook that we built in our kitchen. The daybed in our living room from Shabby Chic, and pillows by Heather Taylor Home. And we love our front porch, where we have morning coffee and push Lev in his little horse swing!

MINI | Where do you spend the most time in your home?

HANNAH SHARGAL | Sitting in our breakfast nook, or in front of the fireplace.

MINI | Talk to us about your son’s room. What inspired you in creating his space?

HANNAH SHARGAL | I wanted Lev’s room to be an extension of our home, but even more cozy and playful. I kept his room neutral and let his toys and books be the items to add color.

MINI | What are your favorite elements in your son’s room?

HANNAH SHARGAL | His vintage Moroccan azilal rug that I found on Etsy, his collection of baby blankets that were gifted to him, and the handmade toys that his family and friends bought him on their international travels— woven baskets and bowls from Africa, stuffed animals from Mexico, and maracas from Colombia.

MINI | How did you decide on your son’s name?

HANNAH SHARGAL | Lev means heart in Hebrew. My husband is Israeli so we wanted a Hebrew word that had meaning. We named him in honor and memory of those we love and hold within our hearts.

MINI | As a working mom, tell us what a typical work day looks like for you.

HANNAH SHARGAL | Lev is my alarm clock, so I wake when I hear him babbling and cooing from his crib. We have our morning routine together which includes nursing, reading books, making music, and waking up dad. We all have breakfast in our nook before mom and dad are off to work. I am out and about during the day, meeting with clients, and spending time in my office. When I come home, we usually take a walk to the park before it’s time for dinner, bath, and bed.

MINI | What has been your proudest career moment to date?

HANNAH SHARGAL | Going back to work after having Lev. It was hard, emotional and scary, but incredibly rewarding.

MINI | What would you say is the greatest challenge of being a working mom?

HANNAH SHARGAL | Pumping! And not being able to kiss Lev every second of the day.

MINI | How do you manage to keep all of the plates spinning?

HANNAH SHARGAL | My supportive husband! He is my biggest fan and cheerleader and helps make everything in our little world possible.

MINI | Where have you seen the biggest changes since becoming a mom?

HANNAH SHARGAL | I am a control freak, so I had to learn to let go and allow others to step in and help.

MINI | What is your greatest joy of motherhood?

HANNAH SHARGAL | To experience the craziest love in my heart for my new family. Motherhood has made me SO proud. Of Lev. Of my husband. And of myself. The three of us have learned so much from each other.

MINI | What do you think is the one thing no one really warns you about?

HANNAH SHARGAL | The challenges of breastfeeding, and the guilt that comes along with it.

MINI | Looking back to your first days as a mom, what advice would you give yourself?

HANNAH SHARGAL | Silence the noise and judgment and do what’s best for you and your new family. Trust yourself. And your baby.

MINI | Describe your personal style for us.

HANNAH SHARGAL | Relaxed, casual, minimal. But I don’t mind a sparkle or a ruffle.

MINI | Has your style changed at all since becoming a mom?

HANNAH SHARGAL | I care way less, and I love it. Don’t get me wrong, I still like to look cute! But it’s all about what’s practical, comfortable, and whatever is easy access for breastfeeding.

MINI | Where do you like to shop? For yourself and your son.

HANNAH SHARGAL | For myself, vintage via flea markets, Etsy, [etcetera], The RealReal, Mille. For Lev, Fawn Shoppe, Maisonette, and Naturebaby.

MINI | Let’s talk beauty. What is your skincare routine like?

HANNAH SHARGAL | I love my facials by J’ai Lone. And all of her products!
