I n t roduction Building backlinks to your money sites is one way that you can increase their page rank and also drive traffic to them...And traffic is the name of the game, isn't it? There are a lot of good tools on the market now that will help you build backlinks and get your sites noticed. Article Submitters, Profile Builders, Backlink Blasters and the list goes on and on. The problem that the majority of people have with these exceptional tools is not in how they work, but, how much they cost. With many marketers who are just starting, or, even those that have been at it a little longer, the monthly subsciption to these tools can be a little prohibitive. That's why I wanted to share with anyone interested the system that I started using to get my niche sites
on the front page of Google for several niche keywords. This little book will walk you through the steps of building a backlink engine foundation that takes very little effort to work and is easily scaled up for more than one blog. It's hard to say what the best part about this system is. Is it the fact that you can build multiple backlinks simply by sending an email? Is it the fact that all the tools you'll be using are freely available and don't cost you anything? Or, is it the fact that you can actually get others to promote your backlinks to social bookmarking sites on autopilot without spending a dime? It's a tough call, isn't it? Well, whichever you think is best, it's good to remember that this is a foundation. While you can use just this system to boost your site(s), once in place you can use this system to promote other things as your business grows. Step 1 – Keyword Optimized Content Okay, the first thing you need to get in place is keyword optimized content on your money, or, primary site. In order to have a good backlinking system, you have to provide something to link back to with anchor text. And, having some on page optimization will help bring your website to the first page of Google. Let me walk you through a simple way to do this and keep it organized: You need to do a little keyword research around your niche and pick up to 6 keywords that you want your site to rank for. You need 6 articles or blog posts that are optimized for these keywords. If you're using a self hosted Wordpress blog download the Vibe SEO plugin. This plugin does a good job of walking you through how to optimize a blog post and page. Another plugin that you're going to need is the Cbnet Ping Optimizer. This plugin will make sure that your blog doesn't send out unnecessary pings when you are writing or editing posts. Also, you should go over to Prelovac's website and copy and past the huge “ping list� that is in the comment section of that post into your blog. Once you copy the list go to: Your Blog--> Admin/Settings-->Writing. Navigate to the bottom of the page and paste the ping list into the bottom field. Make sure that there's a line break between ping sites. If your blog is already populated with content, not to worry. All you need to do is re-write parts of your posts (deactivate your cbnet pingoptimizer plugin if you're doing this step) to include the specific keywords that you picked. While I would write 6 articles optimized for your target keywords, don't post all of them on the same day. Use the wordpress scheduling function and drip the content in over the course of 6 days.
