Love in the Title by Hugh Leonard Directed by Donal Kelly One magical afternoon in the fields of Corcamore, free-spirited Katie is joined by younger incarnations of Triona, her mother and Catherine, her grandmother. The three women talk about their lives and loves, try to make sense of the past and discuss their hopes for the future. Through their intensely personal stories, a portrait of a family, a country and a century takes shape. Their dialogue on social prejudices, religious fervour and the eternal trouble with men is often humorous. It movingly evokes the mixture if nostalgia and progressiveness by which the 20th century is remembered. Love in the Title celebrates, with biting humour and poignancy, the indomitable spirit, strength and determination of three generations of Irish women.
