The catalogues will be available on www.bagherawines.com, and the prices displayed are the firm prices. No outbidding, no commission. Just fill in your purchase order, and there you go… The best of wines at the right price. — The concept: 1st come, 1st served Fixed-price offers Limited in time Unusual, affordable, singular wines — To celebrate this inaugural “Baghera’s Corner” sale, we pay our tribute to the Maison Roederer, one of the last great independent and family-run champagne houses. Founded in 1833 by the visionary aesthete and entrepreneur Louis Roederer, the Champagne house patiently forged the unique style, character and taste of their wines by nurturing each parcel of their vineyard. Devoting relentless efforts along the years, the house has managed to create a highly balanced wine – a consistent and delicate blend of several vintages, which greatly contributes to the house’s formidable dynamism. A figurehead of Maison Roederer, Cristal was created in 1876 to satisfy the demanding tastes of Tsar Alexander II and was named after the flat-bottomed, transparent lead-crystal bottle it was preserved in. Produced uniquely during the best years, when Chardonnay and Pinot noir grapes have attained perfect maturity, Cristal is aged for 6 years in Louis Roederer’s cellars and left for a further 8 months after dégorgement. Considered as one of Champagne’s jewels, Cristal is a remarkably balanced and refined wine of inimitable length. It has a silky texture and fruity aromas, a powerful mineral quality, complete with an extraordinary ability to age without losing its freshness and personality. Make your choice amongst these incredible magnums, jeroboams and methuselahs of Cristal Roederer brut or rosé and enjoy the eternal effervescence of the Tsar’s wine.
