“ I love the light of a bottle of intelligent wine / upon a table when people are talking, / that they drink it, that in each drop of gold / or ladle of purple, they remember that autumn worked / until the barrels were filled with wine and let the obscure man learn, / in the ceremony of his business, to remember the earth and his duties, / to propagate the canticle of the fruit. ” “ Ode to wine ” by Pablo Neruda
autumn bliss To continue our Autumn Wine o’clock series, I am pleased to introduce this “ Autumn bliss ” online-only auction, dedicated to mature Burgundy, Bordeaux, Rhône, Champagne and Port wines. These Swiss private collections present a selection of the most desirable Burgundies that lovers of mature wine will definitely appreciate. Henri Jayer, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Armand Rousseau, Dujac, Lamarche… these names ring out through our passion for wine. Furthermore, this Wine o’clock is a great opportunity for every serious wine collector to hunt some carefully selected clarets (the majority offered in their original wooden cases). Amongst them Lafite-Rothschild, Margaux, Mouton, Haut-Brion, Cheval-Blanc, Pétrus… from the 1980s, 1990s and 2000s. As a close to this auction, I am thrilled to highlight a fine selection of Guigal and Beaucastel wines, followed by some mature Champagnes and Ports, including K rug and Bollinger RD. Wine is one of the greatest pleasures of life, and what would life be without pleasure ? “Autumn bliss” Wine o’clock will start at 2pm precisely on Tuesday 20th of November (Swiss time !). Be on time – it will go fast and us Swiss don’t mess with time ! Julie Carpentier Deputy Director
