Many hotels and resorts offer this activity as part of their Kids Club’s schedule. However, if you wish to take external classes, then head up to the Ubud hills where many classes are on offer for all ages. A beautiful introduction to this is to watch the cultural display held in the Palace in the centre of town of an early evening, in full costume. Contact Ubud Tourist Office (Bina Wisata) on Jalan Raya Ubud from 8am – 8pm.

There are several children friendly beaches, and even beach clubs who will cater to our little treasures with all luxurious needs close by.

This beach has a wonderful promenade that stretches for kilometres, allowing for strolls with prams or even gentle cycling, dotted with restaurants and hotels. The beaches are white sand and perfect for wading, snorkeling and supervised swimming. There are some sport centres that rent equipment as well as organize lessons, if desired.

This trendy beach club is hidden among towering limestone cliffs overlooking 180 metres of white sand. Entry is IDR 300,000 per adult and IDR 50,000 for kids aged 3-11 and set against food & beverages. This beach curves creating a lagoon feel, and is the throes of completing its promenade, allowing for strolls with prams or even gentle cycling, dotted with restaurants and hotels. This beach is perfect for wading, snorkeling and supervised swimming. When the tide is out there is hours of fun searching in the rock pools. There are some trees on the beach also offering shade as well as sunbeds for hire, and sport centres that rent equipment for activities as well as organize lessons, if desired.

A lot of water sports are offered in this area, just next to Nusa Dua. The beach is clean and the sea calm and mostly flat due to the reef break being further out. You can water ski, parasail, snorkel, jetski, windsurf etc in this area. This is also a hotel and resort area, so there are many restaurants with a multitude of cuisines to pick from, most being kid friendly.
