Made with high-yield composite material, these brackets are impervious to corrosion and feature a low-profile design that leaves the deck clear when the motor is removed. 2. SELECT A SHAFT LENGTH To determine how long a shaft you need, measure down from the mounting surface of the transom or bow to the water level*. Use this measurement and the tables to the right to find the appropriate shaft length.

ENGINE MOUNT GUIDE Use this diagram to find the Engine Mount that is right for your boat. Minimum clearance is required from the spine of the outboard to the end of the cavitation plate.

• The cavitation plate must be at least 4.5" long and 6" wide in order to accommodate an Engine Mount motor 1

* Add 5" to waterline measurement for fishing in rough water. Optimal operating mode is with engine trimmed all the way down. Add 9" for bow-mount Hand Control motors. We recommend that the propeller tip is submerged at least 12" below the water line to avoid churning or agitation of water surface.
