Pet Care Tips Make sure your pet has access to lots of fresh water throughout the day. Make sure your pet gets regular exercise and use a leash in public places. Keep pets well-groomed and trimmed, especially those with thick or long hair that mats or tangles easily. Check regularly for ticks, burrs, fleas and parasites. Never leave your pet in a hot car! On hot and humid days, keep your pet inside. If your budget allows, use organic pet foods.
