The results are improved flexibility, mobility, core strength, enhanced performance, recovery optimization, injury prevention and pain relief. We incorporate various forms of meditation as a tool for mindfulness. This provides insight and allows us to move past limiting thought patterns and emotional reactions that get in our way. Classes are designed to take dancers and athletes through stages of mental and emotional growth. The results are increased confidence, resilience, self acceptance, creativity and enhanced ability to perform under stress. Our students experience a decrease in stress, anxiety, worry and fear. They find themselves living calmer, clearer lives. All classes have a strong flexibility component. Our particular approach to flexibility is an incredible way to deepen flexibility and mobility. We incorporate safe and effective ways to stretch for optimal results and teach students about the nervous system and how it regulates flexibility. Over time our students learn to work with rather than against it and experience rapid increases in flexibility and mobility. mUvmethod founder, Christine Jones, has spent the last two decades guiding others to move with ease, strength and confidence. Christine has studied dance, anatomy, kinesiology, pilates, yoga, fascial health, and most everything movement related in effort to help dancers, athletes and all enhance their movement patterns, as well as, restore their own unique and ideal alignment, increase their strength, flexibility and mobility and restore balance to their bodies, minds and lives. Christine holds a B.S. in Exercise Physiology from the University of Utah, was the first fully certified STOTT Pilates Instructor Trainer in Utah and founded Intermountain Pilates Training Center, is Yoga Alliance E-RYT 200 and RYT-500 certified. While these are all wonderful accomplishments her true passion is her family. At mUvmethod we understand that everything in the body is connected. We look at the body from the perspective of fibrous fascial connective tissue, where the muscles fit into the fascial web of the body. Rather than seeing one muscle as originating and inserting at one particular point, dividing and separating the body, we see the connection of one muscle to the next via the connective tissue. This gives us a clearer understanding around why you just can’t have something affect one part of the body
