For more details on our products and services, please feel free to visit us at Yoga for athletes, Yoga for dancers & Yoga meets dance All programs are designed to release muscular and fascial tension while improving strength, balance, posture, alignment and stability. The results are improved flexibility, mobility, core strength, enhanced performance, recovery optimization, injury prevention and pain relief. We incorporate various forms of meditation as a tool for mindfulness. This provides insight and allows us to move past limiting thought patterns and emotional reactions that get in our way. Classes are designed to take dancers and athletes through stages of mental and emotional growth. The results are increased confidence, resilience, self acceptance, creativity and enhanced ability to perform under stress. Our students experience a decrease in stress, anxiety, worry and fear. They find themselves living calmer, clearer lives. All classes have a strong flexibility component. Our particular approach to flexibility is an incredible way to deepen flexibility and mobility. We incorporate safe and effective ways to stretch for optimal results and teach students about the nervous system and how it regulates flexibility. Over time our students learn to work with rather than against it and experience rapid increases in flexibility and mobility. Roll With It (aka Accept What Is) Butting Heads with Resistance Have you ever pressed the gas pedal in your car only to find the car won’t move? So you push on the gas again, a little harder this time. Still the car won’t move much. Then you either push the gas again, even harder or you pause for a moment only to realize that your emergency brake is on. So you release the brake and move forward with ease and efficiency. “Accept – then act. Whatever the present moment contains accept it as if you have chosen it. Always work with it not against it.” — Eckhart Tolle The emergency brake is there to ensure that the car stays put. To resist any external force that may propel your vehicle in any undesirable direction. It is used to keep the car stationary.
