Wardell
Upstream on the Richmond River, Wardell is a small riverside village with a serene location. A popular spot for anglers and a great place to start your journey along Tourist Drive 28. Surrounded by sugarcane farms, Wardell is well worth a visit!
Alstonville
Alstonville is a charming town surrounded by macadamia and avocado farms, pretty countryside and a friendly community. Nestled in the hinterland, halfway between Ballina & Lismore it offers great cafes, a country pub in the heart of town and lovely gift shops. If visiting in late summer through to Autumn you will be treated to the Tibouchina blossoming their brilliant display of violet purple flowers.
Knockrow
Home to the Byron Bay Wildlife Sanctuary and Hospital, Knockrow is located on the picturesque drive along the Hinterland Way with views to the Pacific Ocean.
Teven and Tintenbar
A small, historical, rural hamlet with a community hall that has plenty of events and a popular general store. Take a drive along the scenic hinterland roads and stop along the way at the various farmgate stalls offering seasonal produce.
Newrybar
Newrybar is a popular historic village filled with old world charm and great artisan shopping. This quaint hamlet nestled in the hinterland north of Lennox Head, is home to a historic bakery, deli & restaurant.
