Cyclist Dismount Zones

When you see these signs….dismount and walk your bike.

• Where there is an end shared path sign or road marking

• Where there is a no bicycles sign or a no bicycles road marking

• To use pedestrian crossings

• On footpaths (Exception: You can ride your bicycle on the footpath if you are under 12 years of age or if you are over 18 and supervising a child under 12 years of age.)

• In busy pedestrian areas (such as footpaths around retail zones).

Please obey the signs, to prevent colliding with a pedestrian in these busy areas.
