Greater Pensacola Chamber Foundation Letter

AST OCTOBER, the Pensacola Chamber Foundation launched the Pensacola 2030 Blueprint to the local community. This plan serves as a road map of needs and is built upon the framework set by Florida 2030 and the Florida Chamber of Commerce. Many of the goals are audacious, but if there is anything we have learned the last couple years is through community alignment and collective impact much can be accomplished.

At the beginning of 2022, we began building on the 2030 blueprint as we hosted Q1 focus groups for each of the core focus areas: Economic Growth and Sustainability, Economic Wellbeing, Community Health, Workforce and Military. Ninety-day action plans were created with the goal of moving the needle through simple actions and strategic planning. Out of Q1 we developed a strategy for volunteerism building upon the resources that United Way of West Florida has developed and will be launching district and zip code centric volunteerism through our 85Go Campaign led by volunteer Craig Hindsman, community pastor at Marcus Pointe Baptist Church. We are excited to partner and support existing resources and are thankful for partner like United Way of West Florida. Additionally, we have looked to centric places within each county district that could serve as 2030 hubs within the communities to provide services, skill training, immediate needs, etc. that align with our five focus areas. We also have partnered with CareerSource EscaRosa and many others serving in the workforce arena to dream up a Workforce Empowerment Series that are industry-led and marketed to the specific people groups these industries are seeking to hire. This event will launch in Q2 along with the 85Go campaign. Again, simple actions, organizational alignment, and a determined community can see the impossible made possible!

In April we hosted our Q2 focus groups and look forward to building upon the strategic actions more and more each quarter. If you would like to be involved in these focus groups, please reach out at slefevers@pensacolachamber.com. A full year one report will be provided at the Pensacola Chamber Foundation’s Gala in December of 2022.

Thank you,

Sara Lefevers Executive Director Greater Pensacola Chamber Foundation
