Rosemary Beach Foundation continues its commitment to provide support to the community through events, educational programs and charitable activities.

Since 2006, over $1 million has been donated to local organizations, schools, hurricane recovery and COVID-19 relief.

A SUMMER OF GIVING

In June and July, Rosemary Beach Foundation donated over $40,000 to those in need.

“We are grateful to our partners, volunteers, and sponsors for joining our efforts to help our community.” says Malayne DeMars, Executive Director.

South Walton High School students create visual Music interpretations of classical music

In Now its 12th year, Rosemary Beach Foundation’s Pictures Music in Pictures year-long arts initiative is offered to 4,000 students in 20 Walton County schools. In collaboration with Florida State University faculty, the program includes art instruction, musical performances, juried exhibition and professional development for teachers.

“Music in Pictures has been an annual staple of Walton County arts education for the past decade,” Dimitri Zachos, Art Educator, South Walton High School said. “Each year students throughout the district of all grade levels are given the opportunity to showcase their amazing talents and artistic achievements inspired by classical music and professional musicians.”

4TH OF JULY BIKE DECORATING

On Independence Day, visitors and locals displayed “red, white, and blue” at a bike decorating contest and parade sponsored by the Merchants of Rosemary Beach. Donations collected were matched by the Rosemary Beach Foundation and benefitted the Boys & Girls Club.

“Thanks to the Rosemary Beach Foundation’s dedicated and continued support of our mission and young people, we are able to make a positive impact for all the youth we serve in South Walton,” Shervin Rassa, CEO of Boys & Girls Club of the Emerald Coast said. “Annually, the Club serves 500 members, ages 5–18, Kindergarten through 12th grade.”

In April, Rosemary Beach 30A Cornhole Foundation hosted its annual cornhole tournament. Held during Tournament Autism Awareness Month, the 2022 event benefitted three organizations who provide training and education for individuals with developmental differences. Each charitable partner received $13,000. “As South Walton Academy (SWA) enters our new school year, with the support of our community and the Rosemary Beach Foundation, we have added classrooms to accommodate our growing student enrollment,” Calley Middlebrooks, Founder, SWA said. “Located in Santa Rosa Beach, SWA is also open to the public for extracurricular activities to include pickleball, volleyball, art, music, dance and more.”
