ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN II MEF UNIVERSITY
RABÄ°A BALTACI 05170169 2020
ABOUT ME
I was born in Fethiye in 1998. After finishing primary and middle school, I studied outside the city to complete my high school education. Then I finished high school in UÄ&#x;ur Anatolian High School. He had only one profession he wanted to choose throughout his high school life, and that is architecture. For this reason, at the end of the first year, I graduated from a better university and the department I wanted for 1 year. At the end of the 2nd year, I won the Faculty of Architecture, Mef University, which was my first choice. You can see my projects in this portfolio at the end of the first year of the department of architecture, which I started with great enthusiasm after 1 year of preparation.

HOW THE YEARS AFFECT THE VILLAGE
3
ABOUT PROJECT What does the picture you see on the cover evoke to you? In this project, you are asked to bring the picture you see exactly about this to your continuation by enlarging it.
The moment I see this picture, I see that the stone houses that were built years ago, have collapsed and assimilated with the timeout.
4
BEFORE-AFTER How do you think the houses in the same picture looked like years ago, and how will they look like years later?
In my opinion, this region was a region full of greenery with lakes around it in a perfect architecture years ago. But years from now on, it will become worse than it is now, a place where all buildings are completely destroyed and no wetlands and green areas remain.
5
MICRO BEFORE-AFTER Take, for example, only a small area. Let's look at the walls of the lake on the edge of the lake before and after the microscopic proximity.
In this area where the stones and the lake appear, we see that my stones started to crack and crumble completely over time. We see that the lake started to dry and crack over time.

SINGLE MATERIAL MODEL It is important how you make different areas with the same material while making a model from a single material.
I chose aluminum foil as the ďŹ rst model material because it is easy to shape and can be used in the construction of both sea, mountain and stone houses with the same material.
The reason why I chose this 2nd material and handcrafted paper is that it is both easy to shape and in other ways it can give a particularly uctuating volume for mountains and soil. 8
TWO MATERIAL MODEL In the two-material model, I chose different products than single-material. First, a material obtained from paper pulp and newspapers together with glue can both shape and stick to each other easily. The lake, on the other hand, melted candles using a second material and obtained both a water image and a wavy impression.

VIEW PIER
PROJECT AREA First of all, we have identified an area on the Rumeli coast with the project and addressed a problem with that place.
We see an area on the beach that extends to the front of the fishermen for fishing. When I talked to the people walking on the beach, they said that the fishermen were hurting the fishing rods and that there wasn't an area where people could sit and watch the scenery all along the beach.
11
MAPPING In the mapping, I mentioned the remarkable areas within 2 km of the coast and selected my project area from this 2 km region.
12
STREET SECTION In the area I designed, I wanted to make an area where ďŹ shermen can not harm people while ďŹ shing.
At the bottom, I designed an area where people can spend time, watch the landscape and take pictures at the same time.

BURIED WAREHOUSE TAŞKALE/KARAMAN
RABİA BALTACI ARC/102 EXTREME STORAGE
PROJECT AREA
Karaman - TaĹ&#x;kale
*The reason I choose this area is that I am not inspired by grain warehouse when I make a warehouse area.
Traditional Granary Systems 19
TAŞKALE THROUGH SECTION
*When I talked to the people of Taşkale, they said that the village of Taşkale was very suitable for agriculture, but they tried to finish the products without spoiling in the family and they sold the rest
*Based on my own observations, I saw that the stone castle does not have enough storage space because they use some of their stables as normal storage area. 20
TASKALE AVAILABLE WAREHOUSE AREAS *When we look at the existing storage areas in TaĹ&#x;kale, we generally see that they are both unhealthy and small areas outside the houses. In addition, we see that they are not practical storage areas because they are difficult to access and use
21
TAĹžKALE MAPPING *When I was on a ďŹ eld trip in Karaman, I especially paid attention to the storage areas. I have determined which areas are stored and which storage areas are missing the most. Mapping is about these areas.
22
STORAGE (GRAÄ°N) DIAGRAM *In this diagram, we see the storage rate of fruit by months *This diagram helped me determine the size of my storage areas and which food is available in which region, especially in design
5 23
PROGRAM DIAGRAM *This diagram gives us information especially about how the system works inside. It shows which regions the rail system passes and how it works.
24
STORYBOARD
*Storyboards progress with a certain area and tell us the areas we see in the sections. In the first collage, we see that the food coming by car is loaded into the rail system and travels into the warehouse. In the other collage, we see the system inside the warehouses and how warehouse workers make storage.
*In the last section, there is a closed market area created against bad weather conditions and a small room in the back where the employees can rest and spend time and use for meetings.
*In the collage of the second section, we see more of the garden part. In the first collage, we see how the market area is settled in the first collage and how people spend time, and in the other collage, the field where farmers engaged in agriculture are experimenting with their new products in the garden section.
25
ELEVATION
*The following is about how life is in the area I designed in the collage and how people spend time. It also tells how the transport system in the area is.
26
AREA COLLAGE *The area I chose is a region that has been carved in the mountain, which I have determined especially inspired by TaĹ&#x;kale granaries. In this collage, we see how my project looks like in this area.
