2021 WALTER PAYTON MAN OF THE YEAR For the second-straight year, Baltimore Ravens C Bradley Bozeman was selected as the team’s nominee for the 2021 Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, presented by Nationwide. Widely viewed as the NFL’s most prestigious award, it recognizes an NFL player for his excellence on and off the field. Alongside his wife, Nikki, and through their foundation – The Bradley and Nikki Bozeman Foundation – the Bozemans’ philanthropic efforts have only amplified during the COVID-19 pandemic. Through annual school visits and meal distributions, the Bozemans seek to make a difference in the lives of at-risk children and families by focusing on the dangers of childhood bullying and combatting food insecurity.
This year, the Bozemans launched a collaborative charitable effort with the Cal Ripken Sr. Foundation, the Boys and Girls Clubs of Central Maryland and the Baltimore City Police department to provide food and academic support to children in Baltimore’s disadvantaged communities. Their “SYNC Snack Program” pairs kid-friendly snacks with critical academic and instructional resource materials. The foundation delivers the snacks and materials weekly to local Boys and Girls Club locations. Led by their bi-weekly meal distributions at Mount Pleasant Ministries in Baltimore, holiday food distributions and SYNC Snack Programs, the Bozemans have donated over 3 million meals since July, 2020.
