On June 9, the Ravens hosted their annual volunteer day at Baltimore City’s Edgecombe Circle and Curtis Bay (pictured) elementary schools.

RAVENS SIGNATURE PROJECT

This offseason, the Baltimore Ravens invested $150,000 into two Baltimore City schools to establish new educational spaces. Nearly 100 staff volunteers participated in the renovations at Edgecombe Circle and Curtis Bay elementary schools, fully funded by the Ravens Foundation, Inc. Key components of both renovations included construction of an outdoor classroom (Edgecombe Circle), creation of peace and meditation rooms (Edgecombe Circle and Curtis Bay) and assembly of educational packs (Curtis Bay). This project marks the second time the Ravens have worked with Edgecombe Circle, as the team’s 2020 signature project created a new, kid-designed playground at the school. The Ravens’ signature project remains a staple commitment of the organization to supporting the Baltimore community. Previous projects and renovation sites include Webster Kendrick Boys and Girls Club (2019), Douglass Homes (2018), Mary Ann Winterling Elementary School (2017), Ravens Bookmobile (2016) and Charles Carroll Barrister Elementary #34 (2015). In addition to the 2021 school transformations, this past March, the Ravens made an additional investment of $200,000 to Baltimore City Public Schools to assist students, faculty and staff as they returned to in-person learning for the first time since the pandemic began.
