“I think it shows the will and the fight that we have. Everybody knows we’re [banged up], but we just keep trucking. We’re usually still in every game. There are a few mistakes here and there, but I’m just proud of the team. I know the team is proud of each other for the work that we keep putting in and the opportunity of just going out there and playing, no matter what.” – WR RASHOD BATEMAN on the team facing adversity
DT Brandon Williams
The Baltimore Ravens (8-7) host the Los Angeles Rams today with major playoff implications. Currently second in the AFC North standings, Baltimore still has a chance to capture the division crown if it wins out and Cincinnati loses its last two contests, while multiple other Wild Card playoff scenarios exist for the Ravens as well.
3-O – The Ravens’ all-time record in
The Ravens are in the midst of a fourgame losing streak, with three of those defeats coming by a combined 4 points: at Pittsburgh (1), at Cleveland (2) and vs. Green Bay (1). Against the Steelers and Packers, the Ravens were down 1 point and attempted potential game-winning 2-point conversions (both unsuccessful) with less than 1 minute to play. Under head coach John Harbaugh, Baltimore has only lost four consecutive games one other time (2016).
– Baltimore’s games decided by 3-orfewer points this year, marking the NFL’s most such contests. The Ravens are 4-3 in these games, with the three losses coming by a combined 4 points.
Baltimore has won 13 of its past 14 games vs. teams from the NFC, with the only defeat coming against the Packers two weeks ago. The Ravens lead the all-time series, 5-2, against the Rams, winning four straight. Under Coach Harbaugh, Baltimore is 3-0 vs. the Rams. With multiple starters out due to injury and another 10 key players (including three starters) on the Reserve/COVID list, Baltimore fell, 41-21, at Cincinnati last Sunday. Third-string QB Josh Johnson, who was signed to the team just 10 days earlier, started for the Ravens, completing 28-of-40 passes for 304 yards, 2 TDs and 1 INT. TE Mark Andrews was spectacular

ON THE RAVENS' MINDSET ENTERING WEEK 17:
"It’s a two-game season – that’s really the message. It’s just a matter of us playing the best football we possibly can right now. We believe we have everything we need, and we have everybody we need. Now, we need to go out there and play our best football that we’re capable of playing, and that’ll be enough. We have enough, and it will be enough. We’ve just got to go do it. We’ve got to focus on that. There’s really no focus on anything else. We’re not wallowing in anything that happened or celebrating anything that happened. We’re just trying to learn from it and take it to the next play and play the next play as well as we can."

DEVELOPING A STEADFAST APPROACH to the game was always in his nature. It’s been about keeping his head down and always going to work – a mantra that only a few possess.
called, I go out there and play my hardest. I go out there and take care of my job, and the rest will take care of itself. Whatever plays come to me, I go and take advantage of it.”
They say it takes a village to raise one of its own. The village of Tyus Bowser consists of the love his teammates have for him, the appreciation of the Ravens organization toward him, and the grateful spirit of the Baltimore community surrounding him.
“Ty-Bo,” as he’s called by many of his coaches and teammates, has a unique personality of his own. He’s as laid back as they come. Within the Ravens’ facility, he can often be found carrying an enormous speaker, blasting the latest R&B hits on his way from the weight room back to the locker room. When Bowser first arrived in Baltimore, he wasn’t the most vocal leader. But now, when he speaks, his voice is certainly heard and respected by everyone.
Since being drafted in the second round in 2017, Bowser has patiently waited for his opportunity. He took a backseat to some Ravens greats of the past, like Terrell Suggs, Za’Darius Smith and Matthew Judon. But as he continued to gain more responsibility within the defense, Bowser’s game continued to evolve year by year. “It’s definitely been a journey,” Bowser stated. “My main thing is just going out there and keeping my head down and being confident in myself, knowing what I’m capable of doing. Whenever my name is

Whether he’s throwing out the first pitch at an Orioles game or sporting his customized Friday practice jersey with No. 81 and “Ty-Bo” mounted on the back, Bowser’s persona certainly takes on an identity of its own. During pre-game warmups at M&T Bank Stadium, he plays a game of catch with nearby Ravens fans. He almost always throws an accurate ball into the stands – sometimes almost 25 to 30 rows high. The joy in those moments for Ty-Bo comes with the smiles, laughter and camaraderie he shares with football fans of young and old.
“It’s been great to get drafted with him,” teammate Marlon Humphrey exclaimed. “And it seems like these past two years he just all of a sudden went kind of crazy – kind of turned into that household name. Tyus has been doing great things.” Bowser’s play style at linebacker can be described as a Swiss Army knife – he’s capable of doing it all. He has produced career highs across the board in 2021, and many only expect his play to ascend in the near future.
“Yes, well, that’s Tyus. And that’s what he does – he just does everything,” echoed head coach John Harbaugh. “He covers receivers. He rushes the passer. He plays the run. He does everything. I’m proud of him. You love him. You love him.” “Throughout my entire career playing football, I’ve always been that guy to be able to rush the passer, drop in coverage,” Bowser added. “[Coaches] have done a great job at using those tools that I have to help this defense thrive, and I enjoy it. I enjoy being out there and being able to play different positions. But like I said, my most important thing is just going out there and winning, and whatever I’ve got to do to help this team win, I’m willing to do it.” This past offseason, Baltimore inked Bowser to a four-year contract extension. Charm City has already taken heed of what the first four years of his career have shaped up to be – and fans are even more eager now to see the exciting things that lie ahead on Bowser’s promising horizon. 2022 BALTIMORE RAVENS GAMEDAY | 11

"He’s a humble kid, who is just working hard and trying to get better every day, and I think that’s one of his best traits that he has. He’s done everything we’ve asked him to do, and he’s reaping rewards [for] executing defenses and pass rushes and everything else. It’s been awesome."

On Dec. 13, Ravens DT Calais Campbell treated students from Bridges Baltimore to a holiday gift distribution at The Gilman School.
HOLIDAY HAPPENINGS On Monday, Dec. 13, in lieu of the Baltimore Ravens’ 16th Annual Holiday Helpers event, DT Calais Campbell treated students from Bridges Baltimore to a holiday gift distribution. Each student received a Polaroid camera, toy mini drone and additional gifts to share with family. Campbell was joined by teammates CB Khalil Dorsey, DT Justin Ellis, TE Tony Poljan, K Justin Tucker and CB Chris Westry, who all helped to distribute gifts, serve pizza and worked with the students to design their own custom gingerbread structures. Later that evening, Jimmy’s Famous Seafood hosted its third annual “Shrimp and Gifts” holiday celebration. Ravens Legend Torrey Smith joined TE Mark Andrews, WR Rashod Bateman
and G Ben Cleveland while they served as personal shoppers for 100 preregistered students. Students from five organizations, including The Seed School of Maryland and Torrey Smith’s Level 82 Academy, received $250 to shop for themselves and their families. Throughout the month of December, CB Khalil Dorsey, DB/LB Anthony Levine Sr., and CB Iman Marshall also hosted their own gift distributions and holiday parties. Finally, several players purchased gifts for Baltimore families, including the Ravens’ nominee for the Walter Payton Man of the Year Award, C Bradley Bozeman, who purchased gifts for several local families through his and his wife’s Bradley and Nikki Bozeman Foundation.
