We currently have 90 active brothers, 30 of which live in our newly purchased house. We moved into our permanent home in August and formally dedicated the Pyramid in October, a ceremony that was attended by Grand Councilman Jim Knoll. Six new rooms were installed in the basement over the summer, further increasing the house capacity. New bathrooms were also installed on the main floor, resulting in a more pleasant experience for our guests.

We have accomplished so much in just six years, but we must continue striving to be the best. While the house is new to us, it is over 45 years The brothers of Beta Kappa would love to see old and needed many repairs upon our arrival. So you in Tuscaloosa for A-Day weekend from April YITBOS, far the chapter has installed a large coat of arms 19-21. We have an alumni event scheduled on April 19, as well as our annual Windjammer party Grayson Moore in the atrium as well as the band room, new President featuring AER. April 20 will feature the A-Day flooring in the formal room, new doors for all Beta Kappa ‘10 bedrooms, and patio furniture. We are currently game, and Windjammer, which was started by my

L e t t e r Fro m t h e R e c r u i t m e n t O f f i c e r Alumni, friends, and brothers of Beta Kappa, My name is Trent Tiffin and I’m honored to serve as Recruitment Officer for 2013. Our chapter decided not to have spring recruitment/ pledgeship this semester, so I’m already heavily focusing on summer and fall recruitment. My main goal is to bring in a fall class of 45 young men, which would put our membership well over 100. Grayson and I recently had the opportunity to attend The Summit in Atlanta. The Summit is a nationals-sponsored conference that focuses on recruitment. We were able to calibrate with Delta Sig chapters form around the nation, as well as learn from the guys at PhiredUp Productions. We are now using a tracking system Trent and Grayson with PhiredUp CEO Josh Orendi for our recruits and our organization has never in the next newsletter. As a growing organization colonized at the University of Alabama five years ago, the brothers of Delta Sigma Phi are making great strides to build their own traditions and establish a lasting legacy at the University of Alabama. Chapter News Our chapter was nationally recognized by the AARP. They awarded our chapter with the 2012 NRTA Educator Community "With Our Youth!" award. This distinction recognizes us for our community service in regards to helping clothe students of Tuscaloosa City Schools who were affected by the devastating April 2011 tornado. We look forward to receiving many similar awards in the future!
