What is Global Warming? Who causes it?

Decide their fate .

What is T

GLOBA

he earth is warming up. The ice in the South and North Pole are melting. The mercury has warmed up more than 0.8 degree Celsius. There are signs everywhere, telling us that it has come to the limit. The signals are very clear, for example the instant weather and the temperature rising high during winter.

Who caused it?

T

he causes could be natural cause or manmade causes. A great example of a natural cause is releasing methane gas. Methane gas traps heat inside the planet. The cycle lasts about 40, 000 years. Man-made causes the most damage. Burning fossil fuels adding carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Carbon dioxide is another type of greenhouse gas, it traps the heat.

AL WARMING?

Fact

The actic ice is disappearing, it maybe completely gone by 2040. The U.S. is resposible for 19.91% of the carbon dioxide worldwide. The carbon dioxide worldwide has gone up by 6 billion metric tons since 1990.

Arctic

D o e s an y on e p r o t e c t t h e m ? There are many organizations that protects the arctic animals. The World Wildlife Fund (WWF), an organization that goes against any harms to animals, has been taking action on Global Warming. The most important action they try to make awareness is to slow down the climate change as possible to save the ice areas in the arctics. The last ice area is slowly melting away leaving no habitat to the actic animals.

AniMALS How dO the animals get listed?

The plan to list the endangered animals is designed to not take more than 27 months. A threatened species that is fore see to be endangered in the future will be listed as endangered, too. The decision is based on scientific reasons, not politics. They are listed from “Least Concerned”, “Near Threatened”,“Vulnerable Species”,“Endangered Species”,“Critically Endangered”, “Extinct in Wildlife”, “Extinct”.

2000-2009 was recorded the hottest decade ever in human history. The past century sea level has increased by 4-5 inches, it is predicted that it may be 2 feets. Scientists say if the Carbon Dioxide increases, meaning the sea temperature will increases, too. The coral reefs may be gone by 2050.
