ONE singular sensation, every little step he takes. ONE thrilling combination, every move that he makes. ONE smile and suddenly nobody else will do, You know you'll never be lonely with you know who. ONE moment in his presence, and you can forget the rest, For the guy is second best to none, son. Oooh, Sigh, give him your attention, Do I really have to mention, He's the ONE ... "A Chorus Line"
We, the Class of 1980, will fondly remember ONE man for his friendship and guidance over the years. He represents the foundation of the Bancroft community and possesses limitless encouragement to the student. Concerned with each individual, he strives for our personal success in future endeavors. It is with sincere thanks that we dedicate our yearbook to Bancroft's unsung hero, our H ead m aster,
Mr. Wyatt Garfield

Society Page of the
Sparkling New Yorker June 5, 2000 Samuel Gould, who has just bought out all of the late Larry Flint's enterprises, is tonight entertaining some of the world's most popular celebrities at his private club. The occasion is the premier of the new film "The Big 0'" starring Hollywood starlet Stephanie Tsandikos. The film was produced and directed by Karen Masiello, who is on hand to promote this, her latest, film. Also on hand for the evening's festivities are other classmates, many of whom were involved in the making of this film. Erik Moll, technical director of the film, and Mary Wheeler, editor of the script, can be seen chatting at the bar. Also in on the conversation is David Magnante, who seems to be emerging as the next Tim Leary. In other parts of the room, former classmates can be found deep in conversation. The Most Reverend David Raible is discussing existentialism with twenty-first century philosopher Caleb Thompson. Caleb is celebrating the success of his latest book on marriage. The best-seller describes a study of the lifestyles of Tammy Clemence, a Southbridge housewife who is still married to her first husband, and Amy Posovsky, who is now enjoying her eighth marriage. Both women are in attendance tonight as well. Seated at a round table on the patio, another group can be found. Celtic's center Liz Snider, auto insurance tycoon John Kringel, and M&M's millionaire Tracey McGan are all discussing Tracey's latest investment, an orange juice plant in California. With them, we see Olympic gold medalist Daniella Camarra, who has made her own millions endorsing cereals. On another part of the patio, we see security guard Scott Graham discussing the latest burglar
56
alarms with gas station attendant Sarah Robertson. It seems that Sarah's station was broken into recently by Donald McPherson, who is now in Walpole and cannot attend tonight's festivities. Artist Jennifer Murphy and lobsterman Ben Garfield are holding a heated discussion by the pool. It seems that Jennifer used Ben as a model for one of her paintings, a harbor scene, and refuses to pay him royalties. Lawyer Susan Neuhardt, who practices in F. Lee Bailey's Marshfield firm, will try the case for Ben. Mr. Universe Craig Poler seems quite annoyed by the noise, and is threatening to throw all three into the pool. Coming to the rescue is peacemaker Scott Wahlstrom, attempting to calm down the four. Among the missing tonight is Martha McGourty, who is still WANTED. Discussing the problem are GM car designer Ted Crocker and Photomat chain owner Steven Sher. Both intend to search her down, as they feel that she should be present for the opening. Kathy Kipp, who recently took over for retired interviewer Baba Wawa, is interviewing Judy Hight about her recent Tall Ships Race. Judy was the first woman to win the America's Cup. Ski-bum David Loysen and stable owner Deborah Williams seem to be interested, as both take part in other competitions. David Bjork can be found in the main living room passing out cigars. He is a father again. Congratulating him is Denis Kelly, the new owner of multi-million dollar "Sassoon Enterprises." Critic Deborah Kangisser is with Karen and Stephanie now, discussing the film. In moments, all will be herded into Sam's private theatre for the first run of the promising new film "The Big '0'."
Underclassmen
And let those that play your clowns speak no more than is set down for them. For there be of them that will themselves laugh, to set on some quantity of barren spectators to laugh too, though in the mean time some necessary question of the play be then to be considered. That's villainous and shows a most pitiful ambition in the fool that uses it.
Hamlet, Act 3, Scene 2
