Fall Photo Contest Winners Announced
BEC IS PROUD TO PRESENT THE WINNING photos from local photographers from our 2018 Fall Photo Contest. All of the photos come from the BEC service territory, which transforms into a beautiful and scenic travel destination in the fall. Red and orange foliage draw in thousands of tourists to local state parks and natural areas, which benefits member-owned businesses.
BEC held the photo contest to provide members the opportunity to share their view of the BEC service territory.
Contest entries were judged on creativity, photographic quality, authenticity and their ability to illustrate the essence of autumn and fall colors.
The grand-prize winner of the contest is Charles Carlson from Rio Frio, a quick five-minute drive from Garner State Park. The photo was taken at the Kenneth Arthur Crossing of the Frio River, just north of Concan.
Second place went to LeAnn Garrison-Sharp for “Fall Reflections” taken at Lost Maples State Natural Area in Vanderpool.
Third place goes to Curtis Kosub for “Fall Reflections on Lake,” taken in the Tarpley area.
Fourth place goes to Mark Holly for “Spring-Fed Medina River in Fall,” taken between Bandera and Kerrville, just off of State Highway 16.
Fifth place goes to Carole Petrovics for “Colors of the Frio,” taken at the Rio Bella Resort on the Frio in Leakey.
Thank you to all of our members for sharing your photos with us.
