India COVID-19 report: Maharashtra, Delhi, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat, UP, Rajasthan, West Bengal, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Karnataka (in that order) record the highest number of coronavirus cases.
Maharashtra continues to remain the worst affected with 62,848 active cases and 69,631 discharged or cured cases.
Delhi confirmed 24,988 active cases and 39,313 recovered cases.
Tamil Nadu and Gujarat are the third and fourth most affected states with 28,431 and 6,148 active cases.
The total number of coronavirus cases in India increased to 4,56,183 from Tuesday’s 4,40,215 cases. In the last 24 hours, 15,968 cases were recorded and 465 people died in the biggest single-day jump. The number of active cases of COVID-19 across India has reached 1,83,022 on Wednesday, June 24. The death toll because of the novel virus reached 14,476 in 28 states and Union Territories while 2,58,684 people have recovered.
