Vijay Singh Deol (born 27 January 1969), popularly known as Bobby Deol, is an Indian actor who works in Hindi films. He is the recipient of a Filmfare Award.Deol first briefly appeared as a child actor in Dharam Veer (1977) and made his acting career debut as an adult in Barsaat (1995) which garnered him the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut. Subsequently, he appeared in several commercially successful films including Gupt (1997), Soldier (1998), Badal (2000), Bichhoo (2000), Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya (1997), Ajnabee (2001), Humraaz (2002), for which he was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Actor, Barsaat (2005), Tango Charlie (2005), Jhoom Barabar Jhoom (2007), Apne (2007) and Yamla Pagla Deewana (2011). His other notable work includes Kareeb (1998), Dillagi (1999), Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo (2004), and Players (2012).Bobby Deol was born on 27 January 1969 into a Punjabi Jat family in Bombay, Maharashtra, India. He is the second son of Bollywood star Dharmendra and Parkash Kaur.
